Confirm Your Booking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/06
We showed up for a night at this charming inn, but the innkeeper told us that we had booked a room for the preceding Tuesday. She even told us that she had called and left a message about it, but we saw the number in her book, the cell phone we had with us on vacation! She never called. And there was no mistake on our end about the date, as we wrote it down after the phone call, not to mention the fact that it was a Saturday and not a Tuesday! She then proceeded to guilt my girlfriend into paying for 'half' of the fee we owed, despite the fact that it was clearly her mistake.

Ok, it's noisy, but....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/06
I loved this place! Maria, the Innkeeper is a gem. Her breakfasts were bountiful and tasty. The house itself is charming and eclectic. Yes, the cars whizzing by were sometimes disturbing, but once the weather warms up and the air conditioners go into the windows, that will be much less of an issue. Also, we found earplugs very thoughtfully placed on the night table (I used them the 2nd night of my stay and slept much more soundly). The Inn was very conveniently located, and if you're a walker, you can just leave your car and head into town on foot. The outlet shopping in Kittery ME is just a 10 minute car trip away. We stayed for 4 nights, and I didn't want to leave.

Bring your earplugs!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/05
While the Inn at Christian Shore is fairly clean, charming in a cluttered sort of way, and w/in easy walking distance to town, it is on a highway. Trucks roar passed throughout the night so, unless you sleep like the dead, this is not the inn for you. The innkeeper had overbooked and we were bumped from a room with bath ensuite to a room w/bath down the hall. Not good. We did get a small price break, at my insistance. The breakfast was delicious however, so we left with a goood taste in our mouths.
