Bucksport Motor Inn, Bucksport

I would recommend the motor inn to anyone who was in the area. I dont usually write reviews, but i was inspired to for this quaint little spot. Great room, great price. We have a dog, and they were very accommodating. You never know what you're getting when you book something from far away...i hope this helps.

We found this hotel absolutely delightful! I was pleasantly surprised at the excellant value and high quality of customer service, very important to me. The owners are friendly and truly make you feel welcome. Our room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location also allows easy travel to Bangor and Bar Harbor, but the quiet town of Bucksport gives you an honest taste of small-town Maine. There are several wonderful restaurants within walking distance and early morning coffee and donuts are right across the street. I've rarely found a place such as this that mixes warm friendly atmosphere, value, and comfort. My family and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an inviting and friendly place to stay.

the 1st time i stayed, i actually had reservations at another motel close by; but i was alone, and when i drove in the parking lot of the other place, i didn't feel comfortable getting out of my car. i ended up at bucksport motor inn (when the old owners were still in business) and i felt very safe and secure (the entire night!) by myself. what was also a plus to me - a big plus - was the cleanliness and the lack of odors (scents). i have been really bothered in the past(in other motels) by strong perfume odors in my room that DO NOT make the room inviting to me. the decor is old and kinda' worn in places, but i found it comfortable and unassuming! have met the new owners and found them pleasant and 'comfortable' too.
