Atlantic Eyrie Lodge, Bar Harbor

The most wonderful view! The rooms were very, very clean and the staff were super! The breakfast had great tasting coffee, homemade muffins, English muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, fruit salad, yogurt, French toast, tea & cocoa, and orange jc. Steve was the early bird who made this possible and also provided us with answers to questions about the flora and fauna and the area in general. We highly recommend this little jewel!

1.The room I stayed had a spectacular view of the ocean, all you have to do is draw the curtains of this massive window/door and sit on the balcany to make it even better.Lovely Sunsets. 2.The rooms were very very clean. 3.It's very quiet, it's kinda hidden from the road and on a hill. 4.The pool is open till 8:00pm(i think or 9:00pm)pool is usually empty if you want a relaxing swim and it's very clean looking . If you just want to sunbathe you can with the patio not far. 5.Okay i have to admit the breakfast is not that appealing but everything else is just gorgeous. I loved the place!!!

This hotel has ocean views but is not on the ocean, and is ugly outside, very basic inside....spotlessly, clean, older style motel room. Continental breakfast is white bread, literally, with only coffee and OJ--no fruit or fiber. Better breakfasts and internet at similar, closer hotels. Previous space for storing bicycles inside is now the breakfast area and hence bicycle storage gone. Lower level rooms are near to bus stop which can be loud. Hotel needs some capital investment to rival similarly priced, chain hotel accommodations. Conclusion...better than a tent, but should have better breakfast and wifi.
