Pleasant inn in the middle of downtown
This inn is in the heart of what amounts to downtown Bangor. There are several restaurants within walking distance (the Pakistani across the street is a favorite)as well as multiple stores and parks to stroll through. In good weather, Bangor is a very pleasant walking city, with two rivers meeting at its center.
The inn itself dates from the mid 1800s and retains some historical character. Its rather dark, with none of the refinements one might be used to. Staff is friendly enough and knowledgable about whats to see and do locally. The rooms have high ceilings, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, etc.
