Tubakula Beach Resort, Singatoka

The accommodation was good. We stayed in a beachfront bure/bungalow. 3 Single beds on a mezzanine level, a double bed in it's own room and hot water in the shower (which a number of other places we stayed in Fiji didn't have). The beach is at the doorstep which is nice. It is very quiet at this place. They really don't have anything in the way of activities like kayaking or snorkelling. If you want to do this, walk up the beach past the Outrigger until you get to Crows Nest. They'll hire out their kayaks.

Tubakula was just what we needed after a busy trip to Japan, Australia and New Zealand. It was reccomended to us by neighbors who had been there in 1987. We were so happy we took their advice. Great spot to relax and absorb the Fiji atmosphere. Watching sunsets, the swaying rustling palm trees, the wandering cows and horses that strolled the beach every so often was fun. I enjoyed doing some drawings and sketches. Snorkeling was pretty good (use water shoes), people were friendly and the facility was just as they depicted it. Simple,clean and efficient. We liked the amenities that were available..the restaurant( food was OK) and the little convenience shop, and the pool. There was even a spiritual massage man-Abraham who we enjoyed. We also did quite well using the wash tubs for laundry! We enjoyed a few nearby restaurants and attractions. I only disliked that we did not spend more time there. We stayed in the bure on the beach. It was a quiet spot. We would definitely go back.

Where else can you rent a bungalo cottage for 5-10 us a day. Let me tell you this place was nice. We bought every bottle of fiji bitter beer they had in their fridge and drank it while basking in the sun and watching the ocean from our beachfront bungalo.
