Lovely hotel for you!
By HOANG A, 08/11/09
It's a beautiful place for your vacation. The Meritus Mandarin Hotel Singapore is one of the best hotels that caters to the needs of the business and the conventional needs of all its visitors. The hotel has a number of meeting halls and exhibitions centers to host al your meetings, conferences and discussions forums. Experience the beautiful boutique style meeting room and also the grand ball room that plunges with a warmth and elegance of the Asian grace. I was very pleased with my travel when coming here. Everything is very excellent, especially its goos hospitality. I wish I would come back the hotel in the near future!

Stay almost perfect
By just_g08, 06/15/09
This hotel has a very nice location. Our stay was almost perfect great staff except for one chinese lady who's very irritable at breakfast buffet. The food's excellent but won't appreciate it if the service of the staff isn't pleasant. She's serving us as if we are not paying the hotel. Hope she's not around anymore if ever we decide to come back. She's a disgrace to the hotel.

Will come back
By kathlyn, 12/16/08
So yes, there is some massive construction going on in this hotel, but don't be fooled, the staff is very willing to help and will upgrade any chance possible. The staff in the lobby especially are very helpful- I met a charing american working there who did everything in her power to fix the many issues I had; from fixing the bad booking my agent made, to the slow luggage, and the pool closing in the hotel. The location is ideal for work and shopping needs, and I was very well taken care of. Will definately stay again.

staff exceptional
By ninang babes, 10/16/08
stayed 4 days. met by a very amiable lady receptionist, Ms. Kathlyn Walter. sincerely helpful, big smile. made us feel happy to have chosen this hotel right away! Following day, wanted to use gym at 6 am, and operator offered to call duty manager to open it, in spite of 7 am opening hours. gentle lady at the gym very helpful, pleasant and warm. would certainly visit again, even if only for the staff.

Don't Trust Them!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/08
We were quoted a rate on the phone for a 'family suite' which consisted of two adjoining rooms and given a rate of S$420. When we went to check out they claimed that this was $420 PER ROOM and that there was no such thing as a family suite! We were very clear with them when making our reservation - and we had stayed at their sister hotel (Meritus Mandarin) previously and stayed in their family suite for about the same rate. The hotel management was horrible - they actually accused us of not telling the truth and made absolutely no concession. They were extremely unprofessional and unaccommodating. Don't trust them! I wish I had stayed with a reputable hotel chain - NEVER AGAIN!

Nice place for shoppers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/07
I stayed there from 14 to the 19 of december. This is my second time staying in this hotel. First time was five years ago. The location of this hotel is very good for shoppers especially those who are into branded goods. Hotel room was oriental modern and everything was neat and tidy and very clean. Services was very good. Housekeeping cleans the room two times a day. The bed was extremely comfortable. Furthermore, security is good. It is one of the two hotels in Singapore that have very strict security. Overall, i will go back and stay there whenever i visit singapore.

Best Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
To start with... we had a reservation of 2 rooms which was all mixed up due to their fault and we were instead given a free upgrade to Presidential Suite after waiting for over an hour.we were also given a dining credit of S$2000 at the time of upgrade at the club lounge, which later was reduced to only snacks and liquor credit that too between 6 and 8 pm.needless to say we cud not utilise it.. The staff seemed very professional and was not friendly at all, including the bell boys as well. The staff does not even bother to explain things. The rooms and bathrooms are very neat and clean not even the smallest dirt can be seen.they are of modern designs. all room amenities are provided. the location is the best.in the middle of orchard road.both sides are the malls which by the night liven up. The service was 2 star the room was 5 star and the rates were 7 star.

Great Experience for quite a price
By KennyL, 09/01/07
I reserved 2 nights(24-26 Aug) for my parents at the Grand Tower. Service was good. I faxed a telegram to the hotel and it was delivered to my parents room immediately. Feedback from them that they liked the breakfast food. Although location is very centered and convenient, but our local partners aren't keen to park their car there as its difficult to find a space. Because its the prime of the primest location, its not cheap. Room rates can go down a little to score the perfect mark. Despite of the room shortages Singapore is experiencing
