Cebu Plaza Hotel, Cebu

Sept 2, 2006 had dinner with friends at Marco Polo. Our total bill was $1,935.98. I placed (2)two 1thousand pesos bill inside the "black bill-holder". Then, realizing that the change would not be enough for the tip...I fished out another P1thousand pesos for breakdown for smaller bills. To make the story short, the waitress denied that she received only P1,500.00 and she only gave me back (5) 1hundred pesos from my 1thousand pesos, which the color of her face turned white when I showed her my wallet that I don't have any P500.00 bills...and why should I gave her P1,500.00 when my bill was more than P1,5k? And, I also told her that I was to give her the P500.00 tip. I was the one who was humiliated by this act of dishonesty for a few pesos. My friend's husband who was a German wanted to talk to the manager but I was the one who suggested to leave, don't want to make a scene and was so embarassed!I still left the other P500.00 for the waitress, maybe she really need it badly. Overall Performance with good and friendly atmosphere. Great service and Friendly. The rooms are overall well maintain the likes of the employee and service and with my dislikes.. i have none!

Beautiful hotel. A little too quiet for my taste but perfect if you need to relax. Food is superb. The lobby lounge was the best, the hotel has this sultry singer whom I wanted to take home with me! Very good, very beautiful.

We got into our room at about 3 in the afternoon expecting nice rooms and good service. All we got were bugs crawling around and a very dirty mattress it was horrible. If your going to stay be sure to bring insect reppelant.

We have stayed Marco Polo Cebu last July 20 until 24 2006. It was a great stay and satisfied with the hotel services. But one thing, we had a bad experience about getting taxi going to SM Mall. The taxi driver did not used his taxi meter, when we arrived at SM he told us to pay the amount that so shocking. I hope this kind of people will change because it can ruin the good image of cebu. But all in all Marco Polo is a great hotel

Stayed here for 7days (dec 26, 2006-jan 2, 2007). I stayed and worked with different deluxe hotels, but Marco Polo challenged my descriminating taste in the holtelier arena. It's service was way above excellence giving Cebuano's a true sense of their character, hospitable, efficient and detailed. Every employee is in-sync; the details, the quality packaged with sincerity that calibrates with it's ameneties. Marco Polo didn't just meet, but exceeded my expectations. They made our engagement a truly meaningful one, I will never forget my stay here and I'll keep on coming back! I highly recommend Marco Polo to everyone who wishes to stay in Cebu. Marco Polo is truly the Best!!!
