World-Class Hotel in the Golden Triangle

The Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur is regarded as the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur: this is true indeed. I stayed there three nights with my girlfriend on Dec. 2005, and it was great! Luxury spreads out every single corner of this superb hotel, with a great staff and great comfort. Rooms are excellently appointed with fine forniture and bathrobes provided. Amenities in the hotel were great, with a nice outdoor pool and a fantastic fitness center, the best-equipped I've ever seen so far! Location is good, just 200 mt. from the nearest Monorail Station and from Hard Rock Caf� and other places to go out. Definitely, a reccomended hotel!

A little Over-rated

We went during the peak season in August with my two kids. The rooms were okay for a 5-star hotel. However, the water was very dirty as the faucets gave out brownish water. The room had a very strong turpentine smell. As we had two children, we asked to change rooms but the manager refused as they claimed that it was full house. Moreover, they mentioned that the brownish water is pretty common in K.L. I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton and the Micasa Hotel in K.L. and the water is never brown. I wonder if the hotel's water pipes are rusty. The food at the restuarant is very pricey and not very platable. For the amount you pay, you might as well eat at the restaurant outside. The other facilities are okay other than the water and the food.

i like coz the place very nice..and the dinner buffer also good...and also the service also good and the place also clean. i have no any dislike coz the place and the service also make me sacertified.

Great Place to Stay

We stayed in Shangri-La for three days it it was fantastic start of our honeymoon. Very welcoming staff, beautiful food and fantastic view from the room! We were very impressed with the open air pool and enjoyed a drink in a lounge with the view to the jungle courtyard. This place will never dissapoint! Mick and Larissa Norton

A lovely hotel, with great food and ace staff. The hotel is located near some late night "clubs" but rooms are pretty quite.... The food in the dowstairs "take away" is lovely ("sausage" rolls are a fav of mine) The japanese and Chinese resteraunts inside the hotel offer a great place to eat and the food is exceptional. taxi's are available outside the hotel to take you to the main areas (KLCC,BB,Star Hill) KL is a great city to visit, and the Shang is THE hotel to stay in (in my opinion)

the service, the room were excellant, the pool very clean, good service, the gym staff extremely helpful, could not do enough for you. 4 adults stayed 3 nights 4 days. wish it could have been longer. will remember it forever. and will hopefully come again.
