Very Content With It
By ,
This is a 5 star hotel - and if you take this in the context of being in Africa (knock off a star or two) - not London, New York or Tokyo, you'll wind up pretty happy. We went in July and the national spread was pretty much 50% French (or French Tunisians) and 15% each of German and British - with the rest being varying nationalities. I don't believe this hotel is on the books of many package tours, and this is reflected in the quiet nature of the hotel - no cheesy entertainment etc. The rooms are pretty large and functional and they're spaced out amongst the very nice mature gardens nicely. In fact the hole complex is very lush and green which is a nice benefit if you're being exposed to +30c every day. Food was excellent - no canteen style slops, all food was a choice from an a'la carte menu, dinner being better than breakfast which was normal standard. It's not ideally placed for the nightlife on Hammamet Sud - though it's not far (3km) in one of the plentifull taxis. It's walkable to Hammamet town and medina though which is handy. It's definately geared up more to couples than parties of friends or young families. Handy if you can speak french (not least because it will help you everywhere else you go too..)

Anniversary Break
By ,
Having just returned in June from Sinbad we are looking forward to going back for a longer period of time, (we were only there for a week). From the moment we entered the Reception area we found all the staff extremly polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. (My French and German are not brilliant but we were understood and afforded politness all the time). The resturants were fabulous and the Chiraz, A la Carte resturant over looking the pool was superb. Being fish eaters the choice of fresh fish was brilliant and the staff really made our anninversary evening special. A table was dressed with fresh flowers on the table and a very personal service. Breakfast was to die for with a buffet like you have never seen and again the staff were very accomadating. Our room was extremly spacious with a queen sized bed which was excellent as my husband needs the extra space. The bathroom and loo were spotless and cleaned every morning with clean towels. Hammamet town is a 40 min walk away which you can get to along the beach, the medina is fun to go intobut beware you will get children trying to sell you flowers and they are persistant even if they teel you they are free, unless you want them ignore them. If you know what you want from the Medina then make your mind up before you go in and only look at those things, stick to your guns when you don't want to buy. Haggling is good fun but start at a low silly price and decide what you want to pay and stick to it. Walk away if you have to . The Ceramics are beautiful here and can be bought for good prices. Just outside the Medina walls on the beach side is a very nice resturant and cafe well worth a visit. All in all a very nice restful holiday and highly recommended.

Excellent Stay!
By ,
We have just returned home from a lovely stay at the Sindbad Hotel. We very much liked the hotel and plan to return during the summer. The hotel is very relaxing and has a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. We often sat at our room terrace having our morning breakfast or just strolled around the beautiful garden, full of flowers, that surrounds the hotel. Another thing we liked was the friendly staff that genuinely tried to give their best service to each and everyone of the guests. Except from a few trips to the city centre of Hammamet ( just ten minutes by taxi) we spent most days gazing in the sun at the beach. A enjoyable surprise was when we found out that the delicious barbecue and a la carte restaurant also served its food directly at our parasol. No need to get up and change sandy clothes. Brilliant! . Next time we are bring our friends with us to enjoy this charming hotel with superb location.

Going back!!!
By ,
This place is great- I can not wait to back in June. Last year we a had a grand time with the staff and they earned every cent of our tip. In addition the breakfast buffet is to die for- try the fresh crosiants and fried tomatoes with cheese - you will never want anthing else. Dinner was always nice too- with great selections each night. Only negative is that the beds are bit too short (I am 6ft 3in)

Honeymoon Couple

Service staff were excellent. Especially the waiters.. The structure was not in 5-star quality, but being in the walking distance to Hammamet-cenrte, seaside location and service quality make us feel it has a 5-star value..

wonderful experience
By ,
The staff are very helpful and cordial. The rooms are bright, colorful and clean. Our room and I believe all the rooms have a small patio area overlooking the mediterranean. The hotel is near the town as opposed to the hotels on Hammamet Sud and Yasmine, thus shops and restaurants are all right at your fingertips. A good value for the price especially compared to the other 5 star hotels in Hammamet.
