Townhouse Hotel Capetown, Cape Town

Townhouse is centrally located in the City Bowl area of Cape Town, and near the N1 and N2 - great as a jumping off point to Table Mtn, the Waterfront and really, exploring the greater area. There's a parking garage next door, with a secure entrance to the hotel. It's on a quiet street - a nice departure from Long Street, and the Waterfront which can be a little overrun with tourists. That said, on weekends and public holidays, it also means that the neighborhood is absolutely deserted. The hotel staff was extremely nice and accomodating - we used the front desk to set up dinner reservations, arrange transport, and leave notes between eachother. Breakfast was quite good, and worth the extra for made-to-order eggs, etc. While the furnishings weren't the newest I came across in South Africa (think early '90s Marriott), everything was extremely clean and well-cared for. The rooms themselves were small, with sizable bathrooms. Overall, Townhouse is a great place to crash and see the sights of Cape Town.
