Fairview Hotel, Nairobi

Only kikuyus are employed there but nice place .awesome place

Well i certainly for one will chime in with the comments by Karen and Mark LaRosa from St. Louis Mo. in the USA. Africa is a wonderful place with very very friendly people. I always stay at the Fairview when i go to Kenya at that very special time during their elections what with all the excitement and hoop-te-do that is generated. I never miss election time in this highly civilized country with all the action that is afforded the causel onlooker. I can sit on the balcony of the Fairview and watch the locals having their gunfights. Hacking people up with machette's. And no racism or gender bias is evident either. Why anyone can be killed and they do not spare women and children during election time. It is wonderful to see an educated, advanced culture take their politics and elections this seriously. Yes Kenya is certainly an uplifting country to be during election time. If you ask at the front desk in the lobby they might have some spare tickets for you, your wife and kids to attend some local political rallies if you like some high adventure during your stay in beautiful kenya. I just wanted to highlight what a wonderful vacation can be had in this wonderful place of contentment and serenity which has been brought about by their advanced and modern thinking and love of life for everyone. Yes book your next flight to kenya and don't miss the elections.

We stayed at the Fairview 3 times, the staff was wonderful,remembering us from previous visits. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with the selection of resturants, the gardens, and the gym. The business center was full service, and provided high speed access. WiFi was available to all guests. The central location was convenient to Wilson Airport and all the sights we wanted to see.

Hello, we traveled to Kenya, and stayed at the lovely Fairview Hotel in Nairobi, via a trip sponsored through our St. Louis Zoo, and Earthwatch, Sept. 2006. Everything there was top-notch, and the staff was impeccable. I felt like we had found paradise here on earth, and I would certainly return there if we ever get the chance to do so again. The hotel is lovely, our room was great & easy to get to. The garden setting is very beautiful....and you can't believe you're in the middle of a bustling city. The food was excellent. I miss all the attention that was showered on us while we were there. We felt like royalty. The people of Kenya are the warmest, friendliest, and kindest people we have ever encountered. This hotel is arguably the best value for your money in Nairobi. Safely located, away from the bustling and "high energy" streets of the city, it offers full service dining facilities, clean and comfortable rooms, easy access to transportation, impeccable service and a welcome serenity. I have stayed at other major name-brand hotels in Nairobi, and they pale in comparison.
