Bungalow Beach Hotel, Banjul

My family and I used to go there for mission conferences, and every time we went, the service was always great, the food was excellent, and after spending the day at the ocean, we would come back to a nice clean room, beds freshly made. And every morning they would deliver baguettes to your door. A wonderful place, alot of history (I recommend seeing the slavery island, VERY touching) and the residents are super friendly. Last time I was there was about 5 or so years ago, but I think about it all the time, and my parents just recently went back so its on my mind again! I'd go back in a heartbeat! :)

We had a so called superior apartment adjoining the palm fringed beach. It lived up to expectations. The staff were friendly without being servile, the view in particular was marvellous and the sound of the surf soothing, and the apartment itself was all one could need. Not luxurious but more than adequate. We can recommend the "BB" without reservation, which is something because we´re both a bit choosey. We went on a number of tours in an official green taxi with "Big Alex" ( you can find him outside the hotel, just ask one of the men in blue who allocate these taxis ) and found him absolutely reliable and a great guide. Hope you have a good holiday! We did!

The service at the beachbar is the best, and the staff is always smiling and very serviceminded. In the restaurant the serve very god food. Inside at the bar the make great drinks and have very nice people.

Perfect hotel by the beach. Good service and nice staff. Nice to have your own apartment. Fine entertainment at night. The buffé on christmas eve was superb.

I like all most, nothing to comment because everything seems confortable, freshly, nice and make other people fell interesting for the culture and traditional way to gather all people in good service and behavior manner.

this next January will be our 10th consecutive visit to The Gambia and our 5th (I think)consecutive stay ay The Bungalow Beach. the service we recieve is second to none and we are always made exceptionally welcome by all the staff from the General Manager to the newest trainee. As now frequent visitors to the BB we have obviously become friendly with a number of the staff who remain there year after year and therefore the continuity provided is indeed extremely helpful to us during our visits there. we choose to continue going back to the BB as a result of the beautiful restful gardens, the close proximity of a superb beach, the high standard of cleanliness throughout the whole complex, the attitude of the staff and the terrific food served in the restaurants. As a result of continued visits we now always meet up with and in fact arrange to combine our holidays at the same time with friends we have met at the BB. The standard of the rooms are excellent as are the domestic staff who care for these rooms. So much so we always request the same block as a result. The Beach area is very safe and very well patrolled which ensures in minor 'hassle'! in short - very, very much recommended.
