Grand Nile Tower Hotel, Cairo

I stayed in the Cairo Grand Hyatt hotel few years ago and it was a wonderful experience. Since then I understand the ownership of the hotel had changed recently and that is how most people the workers in the hotel and visitors to the hotel explain the dirty rooms, dirty lobby and very poor service and attitude by all workers to most visitors unless men are dressed in Arabic long dresses. Since I have been in Cairo for few weeks and missed my beloved Los Angeles, I thought to look for five stars hotel that will serve Thanksgiving Dinner. Oh wow, no one, not the hotel manager, not the restaurant manger not the chef knew what is Thanksgiving. I guess, I just keep looking or cook my own dinner. This Hyatt gets two stars for the beautiful building and nothing else.

Where should I start? Dirty rooms, outdate furniture, outdated lobby, overprice food, rude staff, bad restaurants. The position on the Nile is stunning, but do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

If you want a luxury hotel in Cairo, stay at the Four Seasons next door! This hotel had a horribly rude staff, filthy rooms, I have a dozen bogus charges on my checkout bill. I asked to speak with the Manager, and twice spoke with a Supervisor and the Asst. Manager to resolve the issues, and never even received a call back. We arrived for a honeymoon, and did not receive so much as a congratulations. Other hotels we stayed at gave us flowers, fruit baskets, champagne, etc. I will never stay a a Hyatt again after this miserable experience.

Everything is a Gimbel. The Luxury is unmatched . The Food is Bad. the Staff is Very unprofessional. i Do not recommend this hotel at all. Very Negative Staff

This hotel was gorgeous with it overlooking the Nile and there were many shops to keep you busy. Location is great, staff is nice and overall I had an amazing time. Definitely would go back and I truly recomend to all!!!

ONE OF THE GREATEST HOTELS A HAVE BEEN EVER.THE VIEW OF THE NILE WHEN YOU HAVE BREAKFAST OR DINNER IS PERFECT.YOU DON'T WANT TO GO ANYWERE ELSE.THE BUFFET HAD A HUGE VARIETY OF FOOD,AT THE EVENING THERE WAS 3 MEN PLAYING LOCAL MUSIC. A USED THE SWIMMING POOL WHICH WAS AT THE 11TH FLOOR, THE FEELING WAS BEYOND PERFECTION. EVERY ONE MUST STAY THERE...

Everything was so nice, the rooms were nice, friendly and helpful staff. it also has a nice mall. I liked everything until i ordered a salad, i found a bug in my salad and took about 10 minutes for them to admit that it was a bug. Other then that everything was good.

The hotel is supposedly known for its 5 star quality and elegance. The lobby and reception area are great, always busy with tourists but its somehow too dark and makes u want to sleep. The restaurants and shopping mall were good but the service was appaling. The waiters were very rude, we had to wait for 15 mins just to get our milk reheated and they got us hot water instead! The room service also isnt great the pillows are not comfortable and our glasses were never cleaned nor exchanged for new ones. The bathroom was always dirty! Sadly i have to say that my stay at this hotel wasnt as i expected. They never do a good job unless u tip them every single time!!! Dont they have a salary?

I loved this hotel. Everything was excellent; service, food, staff hospitality, location. It is a dream for anyone wishing to enjoy breakfast overlooking the Nile, or simply walking up and down the streets of Cairo. I went there by myself and as a young girl, the staff was more than helpful in helping me in any way possible and providing service, luxury and great security as well. I wouldnt stay anywhere else. It has been my hotel of choice every year for the past 13 years. Nothing else compares.

We had a great opportunity to visit cairo and stay there for 2 days . Despite being Egyptian , I admmit that this was the best stay I had in cairo ever . The hotel has an amazing location , and an incrdible view from our room .The staff members are very friendly and helpful . The food was exellent , and we attended a gala dinner in which Isaw an oreintal dancer for the first time in my life !!! I certainly would love to go back there .
