Mercure Luxor, Luxor

Been to Luxor 12 times, and 9 times stayed here. Hotel itself is as good as any in the town, but with the added benefit of incredibly friendly staff and superb location. What more can you ask for?

Have NO Dislikes, just good news about the hotel,going back in Nov 2008 we had a very good time and went all over luxor. also valley of the kings , which is worth a vist, but take lots of water with you. you will need it, anybody going have a good time as we did thats why we are going back in nov2008 for 2 weeks this time,

we liked it so much we are going back in 2008.already booked it in jan 2008, just cant wait.love luxor..and the staff at the hotel will do any thing for you without you giving them a tip..

Very nice place to stay and the stafff are very helpful,worth a vist any time,the reps are very helpful in booking your trips you need to go on.food is very good (as i do like my food)and you can eat as much as you like.

was there in feb 2007 and i loved my stay in this hotel. as soon as you walk through the doors you are taken aback by the marble floors to pillars to ceiling. the staff are friendly and never forget a name once they get to know you and greet you like an old friend. the service is second to none and if something is not right they go out of their way to make it better. going back in november for my next stay and no doubt about it i will be back next year as well

It's so central, most of the hotels are to far to walk from the town centre, but the Etap has the town right outside, and the ferries, museum, temples etc all in walking distance. Very pleasant walking outside along the corniche, and lots of small interesting shops. Rooms are large & well equiped, execpt having to borrow hairdriers from Reception, and you can lie in your bed and watch the Nile from the front rooms. Catering not very special, but that's about standard for Egyptian hotels, pity none of the resturants specilise in local food. Great breakfasts, though! The pool area's nice but no view, and the pools freezing.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT. THE ONLY HOTEL IN LUXOR WITH AN ANIMATION TEAM. EVERYONE GETS FRIENDLY WITH STAFF/OTHER GUESTS VERY QUICKLY. PLAY VOLLEYBALL IN THE POOL, DARTS & PETANQUE TO GIVE YOU A SHORT BREAK FROM SUNBATHING (VERY GOOD FUN!) I WOULD RECCOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR ALL. WE HAVE STAYED IN OTHER HOTELS IN EGYPT, THIS IS BY FAR THE FRIENDLIEST, A WARM WELCOME BACK WHENEVER YOU GO.
