Crowne Plaza Manama Bahrain, Commercial Area

The hotel boasts a beautiful antique - esk, lobby area. Most of the wings of the hotel have that antique feel to them, however each room feels rather like an upgraded version of Holiday Inn. The grounds are quite large, and nice to have walks in. The swimming pool is located outside in the grounds. However, it is slightly inconvenient in its distance from the hotel. A beach is located nearby. The hotel is located in a quieter area, a car is necessary to go around the island and to travel on the infamous King Fahd Causeway. Crowne Plaza Bahrain, along with the rest of the hotels owned by the chain is, in my opinion, aimed for the business traveller. However, I feel that this particular hotel has more to offer towards entertainment than most. There is an English style pub with in - house entertainment. During my visit, there was a group singing and dancing to popular songs, and getting the crowd to hit the dance floor. I remember there were themed nights, and even Ladies Nights, (somewhere along the lines of Ladies drink free, but limited to certain drinks). The hotel also houses a few restaurants, one of which is completely devoted to seafood. The other makes room for themed nights and large feast nights, (e.g. Seafood Night, Mexicana Night). I went along to seafood night and the atmosphere and service was that of a nice upmarket hotel, with a large diversity in cuisines.
