Manor at Taylors Store Bed & Breakfast, Wirtz

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here. It was spectacular. The private lakes on the property were terrific for a canoe ride and private picnics. We both absolutely loved our stay at the Manor at Taylor's Store. We would encourage anyone to come and enjoy a stay here. Spectacular:)

I was living in Arizona in 1997 and planning my wedding in West Virginia for June 1998. My now husband and I decided we wanted to have a honeymoon at a bed and breakfast, preferably in West Virginia. Fortuitously we mentioned to a friend our honeymoon plans and the names of some of our proposed B&B's and the friend mentioned Manor at Taylor's Store. To this day we thank them for their suggestion. The hospitality was gracious and the breakfasts were healthy, delicious and unique. The hostess gave us a complimentary copy of their Heart-Healthy cookbook after we complimented their breakfasts. The B&B was situated on 120 rolling acres. There were six lakes, and canoes and a dock on one. I saw my first muskrat while canoeing at the Manor. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated and relaxing. The ONLY gripe we had was that we were not warned the basement had exceedingly low ceilings. My 6'4" husband nearly cracked his head open on one of the beams in the basement. As we had rented the garden room in the basement, we had to contend with the ceiling for the duration of our visit. We have talked about visiting the Manor again, now that we live in Virginia. Anyone want to watch a four-year old and an infant while we have a second honeymoon?
