Tangerine Hotel, Burbank

called to find out which COLLEAUGE in the industry had called me on my phone. I became a little arogant on the phone, we hung up...then I called back to apologize and he "answerer" completely disregarded my aplogy said he knew people in the industry (really?) and shouted me down. I will find out what REAL industry friend was there and will make sure this British fool understands how to receive a humble apology. What a dick... yelp etc

Pros: Hmmmm Need some time to think about that one...TV is flat screen, shower water is nice and hot. Cons: Room is dirty. Food on floor and a Maxi Pad wrapper behind the bed??? Disgusting! There are NO available plug ins for our phone chargers, parking sucks...super tight. People are walking through the parking lot at all hours of the night, room is super small for the price. Pictures online are cool but deceiving!! No complimentary breakfast and above all, don't let the name fool you...THIS IS NOT A HOTEL!!!!

Don't be deceived by the pictures online because it was totally the opposite when you get there. The room was old and tiny. The beds and counter tops were very dusty,the carpet was black and dirty and the smell was horrible even with air freshener. I complained to the manager and requested for another room but He did not give us another room, not very accommodating manager. So PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRASH!!!! Just go somewhere else.

small "family" feel. manager extremely helpful and friendly.. it is the same gentleman everytime and i believe he 'lives' onsite. rooms relatively clean, the carpets could be shampooed (black feet if barefoot). its quiet, the pool is always clean and empty with the occasional guest at poolside. walking distance to bob's big boy, starbucks and several small restaurants/shops. walking distance to warner brothers studio (main lot) i have thoroughly searched for inexpensive hotels in the area and this one beats all others. I feel safe here, it is quiet and affordable.

While visiting LA to attend the Ellen Show, chose this motel due to location only. Was so pleasantly surprised. Clean and comfortable - but best of all was the cordial and helpful management. I had a few unusual needs that were met with helpfulness and kindness. I couldn't have been treated better at the Ritz Carlton!!!!

For an older motel it was well kept up and the staff we're very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable compared to other nearby motels, will stay again when in the area.

The location is great, parking assured, service great. in spite of the other opinions, we were very pleased with the accomodations, AC ok, everything as promised. Price great WE'll be back

I visited LA in February and stayed at Holiday Lodge. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I would recommend Holiday Lodge to anyone going to LA. I am planning another trip there and intend to book with Holiday Lodge.

Stayed here before, not as bad as described in others. Plenty of parking if you look out back, half the price of the Best Western across the street, and both motels had the same smell in the room. ( I've found that very few motels DON'T have that weird smell in each room. ) The spa tubs in each room was a nice surprise, as were the in-wall hairdryers which are not common for such a budget property. Very friendly, accomodating owner. Perfect place to stay if you want something close to Universal Studios but don't want to pay over $100 a night. Not so sure about that pool though. Stay clear if you know what's good for you.
