I've read a few bad reviews about this place but my wife I have never had a problem here. Agreed that it's no 5 star motel and yes you have peer across highway 101 for an ocean view but for the price, you just can't beat it! We chose a pond view room this time and traded the traffic noise for a pond frog serenade which quickly lulled us to a good night's sleep. We were provided with a clean room with a nice bed, coffee with all the fixins inside our room along with bar soap and shampoo, free HBO, a fan, blow dryer and access to their large jacuzzi spa. You can spend 2 nights here for less than you would pay for 1 night at a beachside motel that provides much less. So, Might I suggest to those who complain about carpet stains, power lines crossing their ocean view or unsatisfactory sights of the rear pond and lake to fork over a bundle of cash per night on an oceanside room where you'd be lucky to get a cup of coffee from the office. For us, Crown Pacifiq Inn is all we ask for and more. We hope to return soon.

do not book online, we did and asked for an ocean view , we got a stinky animal smelling pond view, after we fought with the manager, the next day we got an ocean view

the guy at the desk told us we did not get an ocean veiw room due to us booking on line, after one night we finnaly got an ocean veiw room, the other room stank bad like anamials, you get what you pay for will never stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel over a year ago & i have my doubts it's changed. Our room was never cleaned, the staff refused to offer maid service because we were inside at the time. I prefered to stay near our room with others inside it to safeguard our pets. I had to beg for a broom so I could clean our floors. Hwy 101 and telephone wires do not make for an ocean view. Very noisy. We were also surrounded by smoking rooms and in the am the stench would drift into our room. Highly allergic to smoke and also the risk of resp infections to our pets forced us to open our door and sliding glass door when it was freezing cold. We both ended up extreamly sick and we were to ill to travel at one point. The staff was very unprofessional. I also had a hard time getting a hold of someone to reserve a room. It took me 2 days to reach the manager to complain about the so called staff he kept and what they had done to us. While the cats away the mice will play and drape themselves all over the male guests in their rooms. Very uncomfortable to pass by one worker while she was clinging to her "boyfriend". Anyone can enter the elevator, there should be a key entry to use the elevator or something. God only knows who could be in the hallways. It had a fireplace but it was pinned off to prevent use. Ugly. Stinky and way over priced.
