Warning: Avoid Room 101
By Christina, 4/29/12
The Inn is charming, overall immaculate and served an extraordinarily nice breakfast. But, after complaining about locks that would not unlock, boiling water in tub and alarm clock that didn't go off as set, I heard the clerk ask another guest if his accommodations were as expected and if there was anything else he needed. Huh????? After the room rate was quoted without tax and paying $95 a night when we checked in, I can say a few things need to change about this place. I have never seen two hot taps in a bathtub before. I am so relieved I did not step into the shower without checking the temperature first. I would have needed to go to the burn unit. This just isn't safe. There was no cold tap - boiling hot water came out of both bathtub taps.

Swedish Country Inn was fantastic!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/5/11
My recent stay at the Swedish Country Inn in Lindsborg, KS was wonderful! I was able to check in any time after 1:00- which worked out well after driving all morning. My room was quite comfortable, the Swedish breakfast buffet was much more than I could eat - but the choices and service were great. I would recommend the Inn to everyone and plan to stay again when I'm in the area!

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/08
I have stayed here before on business and while I haven't been back in a fews years I will be staying elsewhere. The charm is gone, the rooms need a good cleaning including the carpet, and the breakfast outside of the swedish ring was just ordinary. It used to be a grand buffet but something just isn't right here and I just don't know what it is. I am sorry but when I return for the various Christmas celebrations I will stay elsewhere.

We'll stay every year!
By Jane H, 12/18/07
We stayed several days during Thanksgiving vacation '07. We walked in and while it was cold and snowy outside, it was quaint and warm inside. It was all dressed up for Christmas and it was a treat to come home to every night. We enjoyed the foyer decorations and the little Swedish store. We have family in town so we did not eat at their cafe. Hold a reservation for us next year! TEXAS

I was disappointed
By needlin, 8/7/06
We liked the buffet breakfast. This was the highlight of our stay. Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m.; however, they had help problem and we did not get in until 5:00. It was extremely hot, 113 degrees actual temperature, and we were wanting to get into our room to rest before dinner. This was not possible. For the price that they charge, a credit of some kind should have been offered. They were not full; they could have offered us two of the rooms instead of the family room that we had. I wrote the innkeeper an e-mail to which she never responed.

If only there were more like this!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/05
Wow! The old world charm and scandinavian touch was wonderful in this inn. You won't find another place like this. The service was wonderful and the rooms were the cleanest I've seen in a long time. I would stay over and over again if I could. The breakfast was 5 star!

Price not right
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/15/05
I had specifically asked for a room for five. I was told they had a room for 4 and that they could add a roll-away bed. The price quoted was $94.00. The rollaway bed was cot-sized, much smaller than a twin, and had a spring missing, so my son was uncomfortable. There were not enough towels or glasses in the room, and there were not enough people working in the dining room at breakfast. The two girls working there were overwhelmed that Sunday morning. Some of the guests actually got up to wipe off tables and to bring people their beverages. To top it off, we were charged $112.00 for the night (and no, the difference wasn't the taxes) and my concerns were not taken seriously-I was told that they couldn't have quoted that price to me and they only said "We'll look into it" about the broken bed. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience.

A wonderful experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/05
This is such a cute and quaint Inn. Cleanliness, attention to detail, homey yet professional, excellent service, and a wonderful breakfast...all describe the Inn. It is located in a appealing Swedish town, and the people are so nice!
