This is a great hotel for the pirce you pay. The room in Corpus area were more than $100. We got room here for less than half the money with Microwave and Fridge and in room coffee. pool and spa is great. Definately recommned.

Really homey place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/06
My husband and I were very surpised at how much this place has changed since last year, we stay on our way from canada every year, the staff is wonderful, they can't do enough for you, the rooms do need alittle attention there are small things that could be fixed to make the rooms alittle nicer, new light fixtures, faucets, better security on the doors. But all in all it was very nice.

Refugio, Tx. Inn of Texas Motel
By MELBAM, 09/16/06
We were registered at this motel the nights of Sept. 12,13,14th. The accomodations were very good and everyone employed there could not have been more hospitable. We will surely stay at this motel when we are again in Refugio to visit members of our family.

Only place in town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
I enjoyed a comfortable place in such a remote town ...Not to many people go to Refugio looking for a Hotel room. Its the best they have to offer before someone else moves in.

The room was filthy
By Sandra, 07/02/06
Before retiring I stayed in a lot of hotels, I've on left one for filth, and one for bugs. This was THE filthiest I have ever seen. We were the for a fumeral, with two children and had no other choice. We spent over $20 buying disenfectants. The manager was very apologetic. all pillows, towels, sheets were gross. One pillowcase had a stain that matched the stain on the pillow. One boxspring had a wire sticking out of the side that scratched me. The bathtub, commode, doors, light fixtures, bathroom floor was gross, I cleaned the chairs and the towel was black when I finished. I kept the sheet from the room in hopes of reporting this to someone. There was more, but this I believe should help the next family S.J.Baker Room 208 July 1, 2006

Filthy Rooms with very large spiders!
By Baby, 09/06/05
Went there this weekend for a family reunion, could not swim in the pool it was GREEN, The woman who claimed to own the hotel was very rude, We have stayed there since it opened and after the way this women treated us and other family members, We will be reporting them to someone. The rooms were filthy and when I proceeded to tell the woman at the front desk how dirty the rooms were and that we would not be staying there she smiled and said oh is that a promise,Now I understand that it's in a small town most of the town is my family, We visit often, But there was no reason for the attitude that woman gave us. I am glad that business is that good that she can afford to be so ugly to customers, A cousin of mine made arrangments for his beloved dog to stay at a family members home, But decided to stop off and shower, He was thrown out of his room for having his dog with him, He tried to explain that the dog would not be staying the night but they threw him out anyway. If ANYONE reads this that knows if they have a coperate office please let me know, the front office clerk said she owned the hotel and that was all we needed to know.
