Bishop Victorian Guest Suites, Port Townsend

The Bishop and the Swan Hotel are two great properties located within downtown PT. The Bishop provides guest suites with a victorian decor. If you love antiques and victorian PT, while still wanting to be comfortable it's a great place. Unfortunatly, it is an old building that requires more attention than it is recieving. The carpets are old, worn, torn and horribly dirty. The furniture was badly worn and in some cases broken (with the exception of the lovely antiques). Most linens were in need of replacing and several necessities were missing from the room. Plus there was a serious need for some deep cleaning both in the room and the common areas. They do leave unattended rooms open for touring during the day and the is a wonderful selection of suites both large and small. Be aware the cheaper rooms are very small. If you can spring for a corner suite, especially if traveling with children or pets.
