Days Inn & Suites, Traverse City

Pros: I'm a bit of a clean freak when it comes to hotels and I can't stand to see one hair or spots of dust. To me that seems like things aren't looked after properly. Thisplace was IMMACULATE. I couldn't have asked for a cleaner, fresher room. New carpet and new beds and furniture in 2011. Flat screen TVs in all the rooms. Fresh linens and towels (very soft!!). The whites are pure white. Also! We got a two room jacuzzi whirlpool tub, fireplace suite with full kitchenette, dining area, living room, bathroom (obviously), two TVS, and murphy bed (great for kids if you have them) for less than half what other places wanted for a view of the parking lot. The hotel also has a business center, continental breakfast (it's just decent), pool, and hot tub (indoors). This place will definitely get a return visit from us. Way to go Days Inn and Suites!! Cons: It is obvious that this place is in the midst of a full on remodel, so while most things were well done, some furniture looked like it had been there since 1980. Also, the outside curb appeal leaves MUCH to be desired. We literally drove by it three times thinking it was too dingy for us.

I rate it high for location and service. The rooms are very basic, but clean. Front desk is efficient and very friendly. Multiple ext doors make it easy to get in/out of room. Next-door restaurant (in the same parking lot) is decent and obviously convenient. Huge pool and whirlpool. But, non-spectacular cont. breakfast and NO hi-speed internet in rooms

I was going to stay at the Traverse City location on the 28th of October. I arrived there around 4pm. All I had with me was cash and they wouldn't accept that. I do not have credit cards. I have stayed here before and had no problems. There were 2 people at the desk, the girl waiting on me and another man standing there. He laughed when I said I didn't have my checkbook with me, which was uncalled for. The only good thing was the girl recommended a hotel just down the road who accepted cash. It was a very nice stay at the Victorian Inn.

Loved all the room in the suite. A Murphy bed and the wet bar were wonderful. Room was very clean and breakfast great. We look forward to going back again this fall.

I liked the pricing, having 2 double beds and a queen pull out from the wall that actually had a real matress. The room was very clean. Located right in the middle of the strip in Traverse City. The staff was willing to accomadte our needs.
