Tampa 8 Inn, Tampa

I went to the Tmapa 8 in February of 2007, and rented two adjacent rooms. One smoking, and one non-smoking. The stench in each room was so bad I could not tell which was which. I, and three of my friends were in Tampa on a visit from north florida to visit mutual friends. Long story short, late that night 1 am roughly a few of my friends came from Tampa came by the hotel to visit. Immediately we recieved a knock on the door from the Inn manger telling us that we were trying to "jack" him by allowing our friends to stay. He then told us we had 5 minutes to leave or the police would be called. We called the polce. He did have the right to boot us as it was his property, an business. As we were leaving, we were checking drawers to make sure we had all our belongings, and the police found a stash pile of drugs in one of the drawers ranging from heoine to crack! This hotel is great value "CHEAP", but in a nieghborhood that you wouldn't want to be caught dead in. THe rooms are beaten up. the TVs and telephones have "stolen from Tampa 8 8136214661" written in permanent marker on them. You probably guessed no pool, of wifi. I was surprised they had cable. Stains on the walls, didnt want to touch the light switches, or the faucets. Toilet shakes when flushed. Yes, we saw insects. And as we drove away we defintley saw some of the local hookers. If I had seen this place before I had paid, I would have just stayed in North Florida. I have learned my lesson about being cheap. Anybody who is smart enough to access the internet and read this review, I hope you learned from my mistake and are smart enough to stay far far away from the Tampa 8.
