Gross, filthy, smelly, scarey...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/10
Cheap? Yes. Worth it? No! If I hadn't have paid for it through a discount reservation service, I would have looked elsewhere and paid more. Big mistake on my part.

Does not deserve a star rating
By JaniceC, 6/14/10
I booked this hotel online on a booking site that did not provide refunds or cancellations. Had that been the case I would defiantly have changed hotels. I knew it was a discount hotel and I was aware of the rating but I went by the photos which looked dated but manageable. As soon as I walked into the Lobby I knew I was in trouble. It was shabby and smelling of deep fried food, with old ratty furniture and faded framed art prints. The room itself was a bit musty spelling but once the air conditioning was turned on it was fine. Yes the air worked. Soap was provided and towels although cheap and rough. Bed sheets paper thin and do bring your own pillows!!!!! The pillows were nasty and stained!!! Gross. The ceiling was pealing, curtains didn’t quite close properly and one of the curtains had a cigarette burn hole in it. TV was old but in good working condition and plenty of channels. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Pay an extra 40$ and go to a Quality Inn…a more reputable discount hotel. Also this place is not close to anything as stated in the advertisment. Don't know what else to say... Walls on the thin side too if you know what I mean.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/09
The rooms are just plainThis place is just plain awful. Old, old and old. Smelly, smelly and smelly. Asked for non smoking room, got a smoking room. Ask for a refund and got an attitude along with NO REFUND! I asked for the manager and was told SHE was the manager…NOT. I have NEVER been treated so rudely in all my life!!! This place gave me the impression it was used to make porno movies in. YUCK! Save yourself the headache, no discount price is worth this place!!!

Good price! pleaseantly surprised!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/7/07
My parents and I used to go to Syracuse once a year for vacation. We usually stayed at a hotel actross the street and were quite pleased with it. While driving down last weekend with my mom and I, my mom found in a hotel discount booklet this John Milton. When we saw that it was right across the street from what we were used to, we were HAPPY and headed for the hotel. Being on a tight budget, we were pleased to get a rate of $35US. The room was not new but we comprised knowing that we were not there for long. We had planned to stay only one room but decided to stay an extra night. They gave us a room on the second floor but once I told them that I was handicapped and wanted a room on the 1st floor, they said that it was available for only 1 night and it was booked for the next night. They said that they would see if they could move the next person to another room to which they did. We were exhausted when we got there so we went straitght to bed. The only noises came from the tv next door but did not last long. We could hear briefly hear people walking in the room above us. The ice machine was broken (they said that they had been were waiting 1 year to get it fix). The womand behind the counter went in the back to get some ice and filled my bucket with some. The next night, same thing happended, when I asked another woman for some ice, she said to look in the freezer next to the machine. The idea of people going in to scoop ice with their dirty hands creeped me out. I jokingly said to my mom not to look under the beds. There was a big stain on the carpet near the head of my bed. The long dresser had clearly seen better days. I said they could spruce it up by sanding it down and a coat of stain. The step down from our room was a bit high for me to manage and for my elderly mother. The sidewalk outside the room was cracked and not safe. My mother had gone out early to get some coffee and donuts. I told her not to go out alone in an unknown place. The hotel is right near the exit 35. There are a lot of shopping places and restaurants within 5-10 minutes of driving. I plan to go back ther in August as long as the place is only $35.

You get what you pay for
By VASU, 6/20/07
I can't complain too much about a place I only paid US$35 for. The rooms were basic, but clean. Some of the blankets smelled funky. The service was unexceptional (we were billed extra for our room, and it took a very long tim e to resolve). A fight broke out in front of the hotel the night we stayed, which provided some free entertainment. As much as I laughed when I read another reviewer's comment that the place's best feature was being "beside Dunkin Donuts", I have to admit, it was incredibly convenient.
