Ripped Off

My husband and I and our 4 little boys had booked a suite and confirmed the reservation more than once - we had our confirmation number. When we arrived in the evening we were shocked to learn the owner's son had given our room away to customers who arrived BEFORE check-in time. We learned he always double-books (and the young ladies who shared this info took the fall and were subsequently fired.) We were pointed to another hotel for the night and at that hotel we came across SEVERAL other families who told us they too lost their rooms at La Quinta because of double-booking. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had.
