My husband and I and our 4 little boys had booked a suite and confirmed the reservation more than once - we had our confirmation number. When we arrived in the evening we were shocked to learn the owner's son had given our room away to customers who arrived BEFORE check-in time. We learned he always double-books (and the young ladies who shared this info took the fall and were subsequently fired.) We were pointed to another hotel for the night and at that hotel we came across SEVERAL other families who told us they too lost their rooms at La Quinta because of double-booking. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had.

Sandusky needs better hotels in the tourist area bad!! my friends and i went to about 8 hotels (checkin the rooms 1st) and they were all simply "a mess". got to the laquinta and it was VERY nice. clean, room smelled good,continental breakfast was the best ive ever seen(HUGE variety), and the bed linens were white as snow with a modern quilt on the bed. very nice,just like the hilton for the same price!

Great Time

I stayed here a while back and it was a prime location for Cedar Point and the fron desk guy gave great directions and was really nice. My family and I always come to Cedar Point once a year and next year we will be staying here again.

Will not go back

I made reservations online but when I got there it was not up to La Quinta standards. What disturbs me is that this facility is listed as a new facility online for the Midwest region even to go as far as being classified as a class C location. I tried 3 rooms but none were clean or in proper repair. I will not go back there. I left and did not stay but now 5 days later I am still trying to get LaQuinta to stop the attempt to charge my Credit Card account for a service I did not recieve.

Hotel Hell

Our room had paper thin walls, we could hear normal conversation in the next room. The kicker was hearing their alarm clock go off at 5:30 Sat am. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Never Again

Absolutely hated this place. For starters, there were no towels in the room and had to wait several hours. Neither the in-room spa nor the fireplace worked. The a/c hardly worked...very humid in room. Shower fan way too loud. Toilet ran intermittently when flushed. The continental breakfast was one of the worst ever.

The hotel staff was genuinly very nice, room was very clean I could not find anything wrong, enjoyed the breakfast very much and high speed internet. One thing I will point out is that the picture provided on this site is not exactly what the hotel looks like, it is a very nice building with no brick as it appears on this web site. I would defintally recommend staying here to anyone going to Cedar Point or visiting the area, I will stay here again for sure

La Quinta Inn's are A+++++

We had stayed at the La Quinta Inn in Williamsburg, Va for several years and had always been pleased. So when we decided to travel to Sandusky we thought we would give that La Quinta Inn a try too. We were not dissapointed. It was just what we expected. The room and bathroom were both very clean. There were no smells. The clerk at the front desk was both helpful and friendly. We did not check out the breakfast or the pool though. Our family was so pleased that we will be staying at La Quinta Inn's whenever possible. When we return to Sandusky next year with the rest of the family we will definately stay at La Quinta!

why can't the other hotels be like this?

clean room, friendly and helpful staff, affordable price. And only a couple of minutes from Cedar Point. If I'm back in the area, I will stay here again.
