One word - Perfect
By Adam, 08/24/09
Early last month my girl friend and I went to this B&B. It was our first experience with traveling to vermont and B&Bs in general, but we were very impressed. First, if you can, RENT A CABIN! They are beautiful, and the perfect size - plus are away from the main house, and give you a sense of your own place Next, bring your dog, ours loved the city. And they allow the dog to stay in the cabin alone, which was hard to find. It is because they also have a nice dog, and understand that when you travel, some things are human only activities. And if you like hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, touring, skiing, visiting ben and jerrys (which was actually really fun), then stowe is the city for your trip. Specific to the people who own the place, they were fantastic! Specific to the food, it was the best way to start a day! It was made fresh to the individual, and the coffee was perfect (plus they had real sugar at the table). All in all, i wish more people like myself wrote reveiws, because choosing this place was a no-brainer.

Our third stay there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/08
This place was recommended by friends four years ago and we have stayed there three times since. Great hosts, comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts, quiet country location surrounded by trees, and located far back from the road. We just went snow shoeing for the first time on their trails through the forest and had a great time. Off the beaten path but well worth finding.

Great Family Getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/06
We loved staying at the Grunberg Haus B&B. Breakfasts were great. Rooms were clean and comfortable for our family. Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. There was lots to do within 30 minute drive. Lots of daytrip options to Stowe, Burlington, etc. The alpine slide is a great destination for families. We loved walking in the woods, relaxing by the fire, and seeing so much of what Vermont has to offer. We will go back.

Cozy and informal with great breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/05
This is a warm and quaint place. It's rustic with exposed wood beams and a little dark because of that. We loved it. The innkeepers are attentive without being pushy. They gave us all kinds of help in finding the best drives and restaurants. The breakfasts far exceeded our espectations. It is not a delux five star kind of place. It's more of an informal, quiet escape type in the woods.
