It was awful...

I read the reviews on here before I booked, but now realize the management must have written the reviews themselves. I had no problem with the management, and the facade of the motel looked nice. But it ended when I went into my room. The inside is in severe need of an update, the carpet was stained and the grout between the tiny tiles in the built-in stand up shower (that had no light in it) needed some serious scrubbing. All night I could hear car alarms chirp and engines starting as people came and left, car and room doors slamming shut and voices engaged in whatever transaction they were conducting. Concerned for my security, I found that two of the windows were unlocked and with some difficulty was able to lock them. I elected to sleep with the TV on so that no one would be able to tell if I was awake or not, but with all the comings and goings outside I hardly slept at all. I only hoped that something wouldn't go wrong out there to where I'd be shot by a stray bullet. Once the commotion outside settled down, the people in the next room over started a party or something that went into the next morning. The walls are very thin. Additionally, the management is either okay with these sorts or very naive. I had checked in a little after midnight, and a guy had walked in while I was checking in and the manager seemed to be familiar with him. I didn't feel comfortable around the guy, but when I walked out and he came out moments later I saw he was driving a pretty nice BMW. I thought for a moment that maybe I had sized him up wrong, but the events of the night told me that my first instinct was correct. Overall, it was the hands-down worst hotel experience I have ever had.
