We will never go back there!
This hotel looks pretty nice from the outside and even once you get into the room it looks quaint, the room is fairly large, two double beds, table and chairs, dresser. However, we spent all nights driving to Arizona and all day hiking in the Grand Canyon, so we were exhausted, hot, sweaty and all we wanted was a good meal, a hot shower and to fall into bed. We went to the
restaurant were we had to get our own menus and track down our server. The restaurant was not that busy, but we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks and another 1/2 hour for our meals. We then go to the hotel room and found that the "hot" water was really lukewarm at best, even after letting it run for 15 minutes and the "heater" in the bathroom blew amazingly cold air. A phone call to the front desk informed us that the office closed at 9 p.m. and if there were any maintanence emergencies we could contact #195. Four phone calls to that number went unanswered. At this point I was ready to check out and drive 15 miles back into Grand Canyon and pay about 25 bucks to the Holiday Inn, but since the office was closed, we would not have gotten our money back. Needless to say, when I went to the office in the morning to complain, the manager was unavailable and no one else could help us either. It may seem like a nice hotel, but there is a reason it is so cheap!
