Strange Stay
By Lisa, 06/17/09
Night 1 ok, Night 2 ppl upstairs stomped all night, fell asleep at 5 a.m. up again at 8:15 to the floor being vacuumed. Outside smoking night 5 3 different couples, YES 3 couldn't get into thier rooms after hours because THEIR KEYS DIDN'T WORK. Took maintanance being called over and over to get 2 of the 3 couples into their room. Sorry couple #3, they never did get in. Was misled about the WiFi and the Najavo Indian Reservation. Thank god for unlimited mileage, put over 400 miles on rental car just to see some land. Was hoping to see more on the reservation. Pool wasn't heated, hottub was cold. Would not recommend this stay to anyone.

Stay Away- SEWAGE in the room - NO REFUND
By summer, 05/31/09
After backpacking 12 miles and 5 hours in the car we checked into the grand canyon inn - an hour later sewage started backign up INTO the room. Tried to contact front desk - they left for the night. We could not reach ANYONE. Gas station closed, they ALSO own the hotel across the way, their emergency number went to VM - there was NO BATHROOM anywhere! After 4 hours we checked out went to the campground across the way. In the morning when they opened up I complained to front desk. Manager said they would give us $7.60 credit for the inconvience!! When i called to complain to the owner, he was rude, unprofessional and pardon the pun - didnt give a CRAP that our room had raw sewage in it. When I told him that I would be writing a review on it. He told me he didnt care and hung up on me. STAY AWAY!!

Horrible.. Stay away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/08
We recently reserved a room online through the hotels own website in the grand canyon inn at williams (Valle). When we arrived at the hotel at 12pm after driving for 5 hours, we were told that the people incharge of checkin would arrive at 2 pm. Hence we decided to drive to the grand canyon and do a little sightseeing before we returned.. When we returned in the evening after an exhausting day we were told that there were no vacancies and the last room was given to another person who arrived at the counter after us (apparently he was booked through a tour company we were told so had priority!!!!!!!!!). We had a confirmed reservation made through their own website and we were told by very rude and unprofessional staff that we would have to find other accomodations for the night on the busiest weekend!!!!!!!! Horrible experience and horrible staff.. Rude and unprofessional .. Stay away...

Never will go back!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/07
This hotel is nothing but a pig with lipstick. It's an older hotel which they have tried to modernize and failed. First off, the pool was closed which they did not tell us at the time I made the reservation. The light switch in the room did not work, no hot water in the bathroom sink, the water temperature in the shower changed by itself, there was only one ice machine on the premises and it didn't work, the toilet barely worked, the beds were as hard as rocks, They sprayed that day for bugs and the entire hotel stunk, only one power outlet worked and no clock in the room. For all that I paid as much as a 4 star hotel. When I complained to the management, they had an excuse for everything. They never made the attempt to compensate me for any of it or even apologize. If my family and I hadn't been so tired from our long trip, we would have switched hotels. Stay away from this place, its horrible and I will never go back!!!

broken mattress
By Susan, 04/17/07
The room is clean. The toilet in the first room was a bit dirty. My husband had to flush it before using it. We needed to have good nite sleep after driving for 5 hours and will need to drive up to grand canyon the next day. There are two queen size beds in the room. One of the bed spring was broken. The bed made noise EVERY TIME WE MOVED. Then we moved to the next bed, my husband can actully feel the metal bar in the mattress. (Note:my husband is 200 LB/6"2) As a pregger, I wasnt confortable either. We both didnt get much sleep the first nite. The second morning we requested to change room or get refund. It took us almost half hour to solve the problem because the receiptionist has to run back and forwards to the gift shop. I wasnt impressed with their services. The beds aren't much better in the second room. They said they are four star hotel. A nice mattress/bed should be expected.

We will never go back there!
By Stephanie H, 03/18/06
This hotel looks pretty nice from the outside and even once you get into the room it looks quaint, the room is fairly large, two double beds, table and chairs, dresser. However, we spent all nights driving to Arizona and all day hiking in the Grand Canyon, so we were exhausted, hot, sweaty and all we wanted was a good meal, a hot shower and to fall into bed. We went to the restaurant were we had to get our own menus and track down our server. The restaurant was not that busy, but we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks and another 1/2 hour for our meals. We then go to the hotel room and found that the "hot" water was really lukewarm at best, even after letting it run for 15 minutes and the "heater" in the bathroom blew amazingly cold air. A phone call to the front desk informed us that the office closed at 9 p.m. and if there were any maintanence emergencies we could contact #195. Four phone calls to that number went unanswered. At this point I was ready to check out and drive 15 miles back into Grand Canyon and pay about 25 bucks to the Holiday Inn, but since the office was closed, we would not have gotten our money back. Needless to say, when I went to the office in the morning to complain, the manager was unavailable and no one else could help us either. It may seem like a nice hotel, but there is a reason it is so cheap!
