Fabulous place, especially for the money!
By ,
Pointes North was perfect for us in every way...the room was large and very clean, the office staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and coffee was plentiful (although the selection of food was limited to yogurt, bagels, toast, cereal, and instant oatmeal). The beach area was small but beautiful and very nicely maintained. We didn't use the pool but was also very nice. Every room has a balcony that faces the water and the bed is positioned in the room to allow you to look out at the beautiful view. The rooms are either well insulated to alleviate noise from the neighboring rooms, or we just had exceptionally quiet people on either side of us for all 4 nights of our visit. Our room was on the 3rd floor (as we requested) in the building without an elevator, but we were warned of this when we made the reservation so it didn't bother us. It is located on the main highway and only 1-2 miles of the downtown area and public beaches so the location was also perfect for us. Overall, we were more than happy with Pointes North Inn! We felt like we paid an exceptional price for what we received!

Mediocre at best
By ,
The suite was just ok but the housekeeping was pitiful. The jet tub was dirty and after we requested it be cleaned, they didn't bother to clean it more than ONCE during our 7 night stay! A pocket magnifying mirror came up missing one day during our stay and the head housekeeper marched the housekeepers up to our room to tell me they didn't take it. Wow, that was helpful. If it got broken, it was $15 and I could replace it but it was left next to my computer keyboard when we left and when we returned about 4 hours later, it was gone. Our sheets were only changed a couple of times which is fine, but I would have been informed that was their policy. A guest who was drunk was at the pool and dropped her coffee mug, breaking it and leaving shards all over. The desk didn't watch the pool very well to see this. When we checked out, the lady asked how our stay was and I said it was just ok. She questioned me about why I felt that way. When I told her, she said, well you should have told us sooner, getting a bit testy. She is probably right. I should have, but who thinks they should have to tell a hotel to clean the rooms properly. After the first complaint about the jet tub being dirty, I would have thought they would have paid more attention to the cleaning of the room. We would not stay here again. Others might have better luck than we did. The pool was nice.

A tradition every year!
By ,
My mother and I stay at Pointes North every year for a few days in the summer. It has nice large rooms that feel like a small apartment. Every room has a view and a jacuzzi. It is a little pricey in the summer months but it's worth it.

Coming back next year!
By ,
From start to finish, this was the best hotel I've ever been to. Most hotels, you never get a lot of space to do things, store luggage/whatever you buy in town. This had all the space needed. It had three tables, a luggage rack and so much open floor space. The beds were tempur pedic like, with a full sized set of cabinets and mirrors around them. The hot tub in room was the perfect way to relax any of the driving cramps someone would get. One of the best things that stood out to me, about half an hour into my room unpacking, the front counter asked how everything was and if everything was working and I was happy. I was floored because most places take your money and run. A light wasn't working and I said I'd tinker with it (turns out there was a dimming knob) and they called back to make sure I got it! Start to finish, best place I've ever stayed. Oh! Also, I feel so claustrophobic sometimes because of a low ceiling, this place had an almost 20 foot ceiling.

What a bad night
By ,
The first time we stayed there was great. Right after it opened, so we got a great deal. The last time we stayed the price shot up alot, (both stays were in the off season, mid April). And we listened to what sounded like water running in the walls all night and in the morning we were woke up by a big bang. The plant hanger fell from the ceiling and crashed into the tub. A huge wet spot was there. The staff there didnt even say sorry. Last time i go there. Beware of falling plant hagers if you stay.

All the amenities
By ,
We loved this hotel! All of the rooms have a bay view and jacuzzi tubs. The third floor has vaulted ceilings which made the room feel even more spacious. There was a kitchenette and DVD player as well so we could chill the great wine we bought and listen to our favorite music. The staff were all so friendly and very informative.

Very impressed, even surprised with quality & value
By ,
I was very impressed (even surprised) by the quality of the hotel. Except for an unwashed coffee maker (filter bin had dried coffee stain), the room was spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi was nice. The price and value for my money was unbelievable! (Before arriving, I was worried that, because the price was so low, I might be getting myself into dirty or poor quality room. Not so!) The breakfast was great! The staff was great (maybe the friendliest hotel staff ever)!
