Hope Town Hideaways Resort And Marina, Hope Town

Hope Town Hideaways has villas & a marina where we stayed and loved it but they also have other houses if you are not great in a boat. It was like we were on a private island but in the middle of the village - we went by boat everywhere - loved Vernon's grocery, Harbour's Edge and the kids wanted to go in the light house every day. It is free and amazing both historically & what a view! Hideaways people were so kind, we came in late and they made sure we had some snacks and coffee and Frances took us across to the little restaurants Harbor Edge - the next day we got our own boat! The boys loved it - we also went kayaking and bike riding to Tahiti Beach. We will go back-the people every where were so nice. Hope Town Hideaways staff is incredible - they gave us ideas on what to do every day and they were spot on! We are taking some more families with us next year. don't wait too long as small accommodations I think there were only like 4 or 6 villas - just like private homes only you get a maid - the washer and dryer were in a little love shack but worked out good as I sat by the pool while the kids caught fish on the hideaways dock. Olga was our maid and I wanted to put her in our suitcase...I liked being on the other side of the village as they had bands at night and I preferred being a little ways away - I guess you could also go toward the Tahiti Beach side. After staying in the Florida Keys (which does not compare) this is a great value....we cooked in our fully stocked kitchen every day for breakfast, packed a few picnics for beach days and there are like 8 restaurants (small) on the island. You can also take a ferry or the local dive boat, frogs? and eat lunch at nearby islands. Abaco is full of good old fashioned fun. we loved it.

What a place blue sea, golden sands, fresh food and party mad, the islanders are so friendly and really made the trip worthwhile, good fishing to bar-b-q snorkeling, just lazying by a pool or on the beach

One of the best vacations spots i have ever been to. Food, people, service was all great! Loved it all!! Can't seem to Leave the place!!

Okay lets look at it this way... During the time of year when you want to go there a hurricane strikes like the day I am writing this... For that the idea was good... but good luck getting off the island in a category 1... or 5 for that matter... Therefore, the location, leaniness, and value goes down because of hurricane probablity , the entire island will be under water, and you will probably spend more money trying to get back off of the island that you planned to spent through the entire vacation. So not a good spot
