The Westgate Blue tree is a dump!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/09
The Westgate Bluetree is a dump. The artificaial plants in the unit is dusty, mold in the bathrooms and shelving. The telephones did not work. The VIP consultant who was responsible for tending to your needs spent the week "Apologizing" for the non stop loud noises from the airconditioning system, lack of on site Activity Center; lack of activiites, trash pilup outside the units, etc......very expensive. The Blue Tree at Lake Buena Vista is adjacent to the property..took a tour and their furniture does not look like it was bought on special at a thirft store.

Not so Great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/09
Our room was right next to a very loud air conditoner that ran 24/7. We complained twice and were treated like we were over reacting. . The noise sounded like a vacuum cleaner was running outside our window. my daughter could not sleep. No one tried to help us and did not really care . . There were very loud obnoxious people at the pool when we went and our stay there was not that enjoyable. What bothered me most was lack of remorse for the inconvenience of the noise. They had our money. we were trapped and no one cared. I will never reccomend this hotel to any one.

Don't believe what others are writing
By Stay far away!, 06/18/09
Personally, I think the "positive" reviews about this resort may have been written by the staff of Blue Tree Resort. This place is awful. First they lie and tell you that you that the master bedroom has a king bed. Untrue. It has a double. The resort is similar to an old hotel. Before booking, please do your homework. Don't be fool!!

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/09
My husband and I along with our 2 young children stayed at Westgate Blue Tree in May 2008. We only have good things to say about our stay. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were fabulous and I especially enjoyed the whirlpool tub. The kitchen was fully stocked with clean utensils, pots, pans, and plates. All appliances were in good working order. The pool was enjoyable as was the hot tub. There were activities our children could participate in (arts/crafts, Wii tournaments, dance party night) Parking was never an issue. There was plenty of parking and we never ever had a far walk to our room. We had 2 beautiful balconies to go out and enjoy the Florida breeze while eating breakfast or dinner. Everything was top notch, including the employees. Every staff member we encountered from the front desk, to activities director, to maintenence and housekeeping staff was pleasant and helpful. I look forward to staying at this location again - we had a wonderful, pleasant family vacation thanks to Blue Tree and their staff.

Great alternative to a Disney resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/08
We have always stayed on Disney property, but had the opportunity to go to the SPM Blue Tree Resort (incidentally, in this resort, some of the buildings are managed by Westgate, some by SPM. We stayed in a SPM managed one, so my remarks are about their management). For an non-Disney resort, this was very convenient. We went to all parks and it was never more than a 10 or 12 minute ride. The condo was clean, well equipped and the staff went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make you feel welcome. Pool area was well maintained. You could have walked to grocery store and restaurants from this location. If we ever stay off Disney property again, we will certainly go back to SPM Blue Tree Resort. Only negative -- the sofa bed was terrible to sleep on. The other bedding was very comfortable. Again, this review is for the condos in this resort that are managed by SPM.

Blue Tree is GREAT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/08
I am an owner at Blue Tree, not only thru BlueTree but I also own a week there thru Westgate. I have vacationed there for years for 2 weeks. I have only traded twice to Daytona Beach for the at the beach experience. However when you trade you get converted hotels not condos, so now I just make the 80 mile drive for a day at the beach instead. At Blue Tree you are close to Kissimee where most of the dinner shows are & be sure to check out Old Town, I visited Orlando for 5 yrs before I discovered Old Town. Winn-Dixie is very close & best prices, on site enterainment is on going, the casino cruises are great use Sterling not Sunz Cruise, resturants are close by. If it's broke the are johnny on the spot to fix problems. Everything has always been clean. I love the smallness of it & you don't have to wait on elevators or drive to the pool. The complainers probably don't like the tight security, it's not a party palace & the rules are for the safety of your family. My sister owns here also...we love it!

Will definitely go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/08
Everything was great at the Blue Tree Resort. Perfect location, but tucked away from the busy main streets. They have a store on sight, but Winn Dixie is right next door and cheaper. Lots of things to do on sight. All the attractions are very close. And plenty of restuarants and shopping too. My 17 year old daughter and I stayed and it was great for us. Not just geared for families with younger children. I would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

Weekend vacation w/the kids
By disneymom, 04/14/08
We took the kids for a 3 day weekend to Universal Studios and had the best time. We arrived at 7:30, check-in was fast, pleasant, and the staff friendly and helpful. The room they gave us was in bldg 15 where it was very quiet and restful. The heated pool was nice and plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. Universal was bit further then I would have liked, but you can't really complain. I would definitely stay there again.

What a night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/08
The overall experince was okay. Rooms are great and for the price location is great. However we experienced a situation where the Orlando police were called and all guests in next room were arrested. My kids and I were kept up all night with hollering, screaming banging on doors. After several calls to front desk they dispatched police. I was awakend to my door being banged on to talk with police. You can imagine and 8 and 13 year old girls being scared. Upon checking out I asked to be compensated for my night of no sleep and scared children. I was told that I had to speak to a Eduado the manager but he would not be in until after 12. I called later that day on my way back to Atlanta only to hear him tell me that he was sorry but that could happen in any hotel. He did not feel I should be compensated Needless to say I am very disappointed. I would have gone back even under the circumstances. Customer service is not a focal point at Blue Tree.
