An Awesome experience!

We had excellent service with a friendly, positive "I can" attitude from the moment we pulled up to the front of the hotel. Although it was a bit confusing at first since it didn't appear to be anywhere to park and/or unload our bags for check-in. It rather looked as though we were parking on the sidewalk. But as soon as we motored past the red carpeted covered walkway enterance, the smiling bellman quickly approached my side of the vehicle to assist my exit out. He was very polite, friendly and professional.. without the effects of a robot. My husband then was gently explained to simply park our car to the left and he would take our bags inside and see that we are checked in swiftly so we may continue on our evening with relaxation. He would be waiting for us to escort us to our room with our bags in his care. The reception staff was just as friendly, polite and professional. It took a mere 2 minutes to check in and we were on our way up to our beautiful room. The kingsized bed was beautiful and extremely comfortable, as well as the rest of the room decor. Every morning upon maidservice, we were greeted by a smiling housekeeper who quickly tidied up and cleaned the bathroom.. encluding the bath! She then asked if she could vacumm our room and change the linens, as well as dust.... EVERYMORNING that we were there... a total of 8 nights and 9 days! The roomservice staff was equally just as wonderful!
Day 1 when we ordered a sandwich in the evening... we were too tired to venture out for a "real meal"... the roomservice staff bought us a wonderful dessert... compliments of the staff!
They explained that they wanted our experience in Milan to begin and end with something special and relaxing! The housekeeping staff even brought me extra bubble bath... since by day 3 they had noticed that I enjoyed the relaxation of it!
Extra towels, extra bubble bath, extra attention! We loved it!
AND THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY MONETARY TIPS!
WOW! YOU TALK ABOUT DEDICATION TO THEIR JOBS AND LOVING YOUR JOB!
The only minor drawback is that there is not shuttle service provided by the hotel to the major sights in Milan. But.. they were more than happy to assist us in directions on how to take the metro and trains!
We definitely will return to The Marriot Grand Hotel during our next visit to Milan!
