Housekeeping
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/11
Will NOT return to All-Star Sports Resort. We stayed at the Pop Century a few years back and were very happy. After returning from our First day in the park - I noticed that the room did not seem to be cleaned very well. Bed made and new towels - but that was about all! No tidying up, No Vacuumming of the floor - didn't even pick up the candy wrapper my son left on the floor or the Cake crumbs on the table. If that was the worst of it - We would have been happy! My son pulled from under the bed - a Half drank bottle of Gatorade and told us there was a bunch of spilled peanuts as well! They weren't our - They had to have been there from previous guests. Shortly after that, leaving the room - my 3 year old grand-daughter stepped off the elevator and slipped in a big puddle of vomit. Had been there a while as it was already crusty. Went back to the room, called the front desk and spoke to a manager - told her about the vomit AND the peanuts under the bed. She said she would make sure housekeeping would take care of it. 45 minutes later - the vomit was still there. Next day after all day at the park --- Peanuts still there. I went down and spoke w/ Manager at Front Desk. She assured me that it would be taken care of whiie we were out to dinner that night. Home - STILL THERE. I went down first thing in the morning and spoke to another "Manager". Again, assured me that it would be taken care of while we were at the park. SURPRISE - got home and mess still there!!!! The Housekeeping Manager even came into look with us - My wife asked her to look under the bed. "OH, I didn't see that before" AS in --- I NEVER LOOKED under the bed. OK - were the peanuts that big of a deal??? Maybe not - but the thought that they had not cleaned under the bed and 3 complaints about it and NO ONE even bothered to LOOK under the bed!!! To be fair - they did credit us 2 nights off our stay.

Is this Disney?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/09
The price was the determining factor in deciding to stay here, but for the cost I still expected more. My original room was ground floor next to a common gathering area. The resort was hosting large tour groups of high school kids from South America. Brazil and Argentina to be exact... have you ever watched Brazil play soccer on tv. They are not the quietest group and their chanting and singing grew old as the week went along. Add to that the fact that Argentina and Brazil are rivals and you get the picture. After requesting a room change to find a quieter location we were put on a dark back area. Now I got to enjoy the sound of airport style luggage movers going back and fourth through all hours of the morning and night, this along with constant bus noise as we were now close to the road. The rooms were nothing different from what you would get at any econo lodge and nothing about them displayed Disney Magic. So the hotel has big Football helemnts and baseball bats... my 3 year old was not in the least impressed. The pools were large and clean but again they were just pools, speaking of pools, if you have a group of several hundred foriegn students at your resort, how about providing some bilingel lifeguards. I felt really bad for the lone Lifeguard at one pool as he tried in vane to communicate with 30 +/- brazilian kids who understood absolutely nothing he was saying. The food court was average, and the staff was average. The Gameroom was ok. My opinion, if your not in a tour group, either stay off site or spend extra and move up to modedrate.

Nice choice
By fred_m, 7/21/09
This is a nice hotel, very huge, nice price and for kids there is an Arcada area with a lot of options. There is a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The checkin and chekout was very fast. There are free shutller to all disney atractions. I miss a service to help guests with luggage and conduce us to our room.

Didn't measure up to Disney standards
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/4/09
Disney All-Star Pros and Cons....... Pros: Nice price, Free parking at all Disney attractions, on site restaurant (open till Midnight), on site arcade, on site Disney shop with small grocery area, large pool with life guard (open till midnight) and Free shuttle to all Disney attractions. Cons: Large very confusing property, unfriendly staff (mostly in restaurant), many cast members did not speak/understand english well, very small beds(seems smaller than a full), internet is $9.95 per day (not wireless) and parking area is very far from the rooms. Overall I felt the hotel was just Okay. It's basically a standard hotel room with a few Disney perks. The resort is a great price, but in my personal opinion next time we will spend the extra money and stay at a moderate Disney resort or off site hotel.

the worse
By Sue, 2/18/09
the worst place to say - people behind the service desk didnt know what to do with problems. be sure to bring your confirmation #'s wioth you - or if they give your room away so u have proof that you confirmed your reservations. they overbooked and you get the shaft. it took us 2 hours after showing them a confirmation to get a room and we were confirmed for adjoining and couldnt get those until the next day but had to be out of the 1st room by 11 am and couldnt get into the next room until after 3pm, and during those times is when the babies a 10mth and 2yr old needed naps, too bad for the kids becasue disney all star sports resort would not or did not care. very poor customer service relations, never go back there - stay off at a motel 6 would be better than the service we got

clean and affordable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/08
I loved it. It was everything they advertised. The rooms were very clean the food very good not to expensive plenty to do for the whole family. The transportation to and from the parks saved us lots of money. Iam currently planning next years vacation. My family was excited from the moment we arrived until the sad time we had to depart. I highly recomend this for children ages 2-12. Disney truly live up to there expectations.

Big Disappointment for a Disney Resort
By WENDYL, 6/27/08
First the resort is HUGE! Unless you get the surging area or the football area, be prepared to walk and get lost in this place. We called ahead of time (5 days) and requested NOT to be put in the tennis area (per other reviews). Its way out in the back and away from everything. When we got there, they had us in the tennis area. We were told to stay one night there and they would move us. We had two joining rooms (4 kids with us). The next day we returned from a long day at the magic kingdom and it was like 1 in the morning. Our keys didn't work in the new room and it wasn't joining. Took them an hour to get us new keys. So then the next night we again had to switch rooms because we had four small kids with us. That night again the keys didn't work in the new room (third time). They hotel staff didn't make any appoligies or try to make our upset any better. Really upsetting. The rooms were nice and clean, and the shuttles were great, but honestly....this resort was only good for the cool atmospher and clean rooms. All else was disappointing.

Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/21/08
Do yourself a favor and do not purchase a dining card from Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. If the card is lost, your child will not be able to get a new card...and therefore, you loss whatever money was left on the card...The card doesn't offer any discounts, so do yourself a favor and send child with cash.

Convenient but TINY!
By Jennifer, 3/26/08
The hotel was great, Disney & sport themed and all. Transportation made EVERYTHING so convenient, you'll have less worries and more time to enjoy. Bus/shuttle was available from and to the airport, to the parks and to Downtown Disney. Please also go see Cirque du Soleil, it is absolutely worth it. My only complaints is that the room was tiny, and I mean TINY. I was surprised they were able to fit two beds in there. The sink was not located inside the bathroom but OUTSIDE, in the same room as the beds which was manageable, the only problem was the pipe was broken and water would leak out. The air conditioning was also broken and water was also leaking from that. Given the size of the room, our whole carpet was wet but we made do. Overall it was a nice experience, the staff is GREAT and again, VERY convenient.
