WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/23/12
I want to be clear: I've never stayed at Mountain Trace Inn, and because of an incident on Jan. 23, 2012, I and my family NEVER will. Each year, not-for-profit Family Resource Agency, which oversees the Tennessee state pre-school and Head Start classes in elementary schools, requests donations from the community to reward parents who have volunteered their time in the classroom. One of our staff members sent an e-mail to the proprietors at Mountain Trace Inn. This was their response: -----Original Message----- From: contact@mountain-trace-hotel-pigeon-forge To: thaase@fratn Date: 01/20/12 10:45 PM Subject: Your handout request Have you lost your mind? Why should we give anything away? Stop asking for handouts and start a little hard work! That is why you americans are so fat and lazy, always wanting someone to give you something for nothing. Now get to work! Mountain Trace Inn -Hindu Owned and Operated ------------------------------------------------ As a staff member of Family Resource Agency myself, a resident of Cleveland, TN, and a frequent vacationer to Pigeon Forge, my family and I will NEVER stay at Mountain Trace Inn now. Their response was unprofessional, uncalled for, and insulting.

great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/10
Our trip was really good! The staff was exceptionally nice, it was in the middle of all the events and restaurants. The room was cleaned every day and the breakfast was good...sausage gravy, biscuits, donuts, muffins, cofee, tea, juice and frozen waffles. Not bad for the price of the stay. we needed to stay 3 extra days due to car problems. The manager was very accomendating in having us stay in the same room, calling the other people and explaining our situation, asking them if they would go to a different room when they got there instead of us moving. I have no complaints!

are you kidding!!!!
By Amy, 8/2/10
where to start...the breakfast was cold biscuits, gravy, cold frozen waffles, corn flakes and fruit loops..juice...nothing else...no muffins, donuts etc...the pools was ok size wise...but the cholorine in them both was horrible. the hot tub..was in a shape of a triangle and was 3ft deep and sitting back in the corner of the pool room. and the bottom of the hot tub was like walking on sharp gravles barefoot. the rooms smelled horrible, they was clean, but whatever they are using to clean with....yuck....the parking was not good at all...and the ice machine was not working...over all....from 1 to 10.....i would say about a 1.5...i would not recommend this to anybody...

First and last time to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/09
first morning there had items stolen out of room.A gps and a ring of my wifes while we were down stairs eating breakfast 10-15 minutes.Should have left them in the truck,at least we would had the only keys. With rates on the room right at $80.00 a night, you would think they have better people working there.

If simple is what you are looking for!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/09
The room is ok, it needs updated. The first room we got was basic, we paid extra to get the hot tub and fireplace. It was on the fourth floor, not enough room in the room. The fireplace never did work, after calling to the front dest twice. If you don't plan on staying in the room much it's ok. Not something we were used to. We have stayed at The Resort at goveners crossing and it is wonderful. Probably won't stay at the Mountain Trace Inn again.

We will be back again :D
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/09
The room was clean, had a microwave, and fridge. Room was cleaned daily. The pillows were nice and fluffy. The hotel also had awesome discount tickets to attractions. The staff was VERY friendly. The breakfast was really nice, my kids loved the sausage gravy and waffles. The pools stayed open late which was nice for my kids to burn off extra energy and I loved the hot tub/spa to relax in before going to bed. There was no noise at night from any of the rooms around us. This hotel is in a REALLY good location too. We will be stayin there again when we go back. The price of the hotel was excellant also. I was worried about stayin there after reading some reviews on here. Of course its not the Hilton but there was nothing wrong with this hotel!!! Be sure to ask them at the front desk what kind of discount coupons they can offer as it really helped my family out whle staying there.

NEVER GO THERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/29/09
This place is a dump. My husband and I arrived late, reservations were made by Bass Pro Shop who wanted us to go on a time share tour. The room stunk literally! We slept in our clothes and shoes and left as soon as the sun came up! We'd been better off to have slept in a tent under a tree.
