Days Inn Carson City, Carson City

The first time I stayed here, they directed us to a room that was definitely not ready for occupancy...pizza boxes. trash all over the place. Well, I figured, it was just a mix-up so give them another chance. The next time we stayed, we were awakened in the middle of the night by smoke pouring out of the heating unit! So we hurriedly vacated and notified the desk clerk who didn't seem overly concerned. He checked the room (we'd left the door open, so by this time it had aired out somewhat, and he asked if we wanted to change rooms....duh!! Of course, we didn't get much sleep that night. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk the next day (a different person) she said, "Well, I guess it wasn't too bad." Guess what...I will never stay there again. Oh, I also thought we might get some reimbursement, maybe even a free night. Well, we didn't, and when I wrote the motel headquarters after I got home, I never even got the courtesy of a reply. So, not only will I not stay there again, I won't stay in any Day's Inn property. Oh yes, the "continental breakfast" consisted of a juice, coffee, and a tiny cellophane wrapped pastry ("One per person please")
