I wanted to stay forever
I went to this resort as part of an upscale tour. Even though all the hotels were nice; we were amazed on arrival at Millbrook.
The grounds were glorious and we took early morning and evening strolls along the pathways, admiring the vegatation and beautiful vistas. We were amazed how gracious all the staff were - we called about the fireplace and instantaneously an employee knocked at the door to lay and light the fire. How romantic!
The rooms - I felt like I had entered the ultimate pamper palace. I own a large home, but I swear, this place was bigger. The furnishing were sumptious - I would love to be able to have had friends come over and entertain.
The only downside was that the Millhouse Restaurant was a little short-staffed at times and the distance to the city (20 miles) made it an expensive taxi ride if you didn't want to eat on site.
However, the key to how much I loved the place is that as the property also sells villas - I can tell you that my boyfriend and I have our names on the list when one comes available!
