Never Again

We have enjoyed staying at historic Colorado hotels and decided to establish a tradition of doing these stays on our anniversaries. We've stayed in Glenwood, Colorado Springs, Aspen....and decided to try Leadville. We have stayed at enough historic hotels to understand quirkiness but this was beyond quirky. I agree with reviews on other sites that said it was cluttered, small and felt like sleeping in the midst of a garage sale. The "bathroom" sink was actually in the bedroom in a plywood cabinet; the bathroom was uncomfortably small and the shower was awful. With all of the gorgeous antiques we passed on the way to our room, I was disappointed to find our room equipped with an old chest of drawers with broken sliders. Following the disappointment of this hotel, we decided to READ REVIEWS CAREFULLY prior to booking our next anniversary stay.
