Days Inn Salinas, Salinas

It was clean and the breakfast was good. I felt that it was quiet at night for it's close proximity to the freeway. It's a bargain compared to prices in Monterrey, a short drive away. I'd stay there again. They give certain discounts as well.

I travel all over for work. I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and you couldnt hear the freeway noise. The towels in the bathroom were nice and plush which I like. The staff was friendly and efficient. The only downside is there isnt much nearby, just a Jack in the box and a Denny's. The room was in great shape. It looks like the outside of the hotel was painted recently.

While were looking for a decent hotel, came across this inn and went to the receptionist. When ask for room rates and its amenities, he seem to know the rates but not whats within the room, say if fridge,iron,microwave,aircon...etc. And when ask if we can see the room,the bad thing that makes this hotel or we would say the receptionist was giving us non-working key!!! What this mumble speaking staff seems to did it intentionally!!! why, when told that the swipe card is not working..he doesn't care!! WHAT A SERVICE. So we eventually settled for another hotel. Its 120$ compared to 75$ for this inn, but with good service and a cozy place. So for all travellers, we don't recommend this inn, first youre greeted with a smilley cockroach reception area plus an unprofesstional receptionist. And to the rest GOODluck staying here !!! :0(

To me the room was fine. It was clean, no insects or noise. You can hardly hear any noise. Its a small hotel and its better because they can keep an eye on your car better, plus they have cameras around the hotel. I liked it, it was fine and I would stay there again.

For the price, this place is more than adequate. It is ideally located-very close to all the touristy spots like Monterey and Carmel as well as the Gilroy Shopping Outlet, which is really 30 miles away, not 24 as the website may indicate. Be prepared for highway noise. Starting at 400am, the trucks start rolling in. The hotel description does not mention that it is right next to the highway. However, if you mention to the owner/manager that you would like a room away from the highway, they will be more than happy to accommodate you. The hotel is situated next to a Denny's, a gas station, and a Wendy's. The continental breakfast is not really continental; rather, small boxes of sugared cereal and packaged danishes. The actual room is clean, the bed firm, the lighting is a bit dim, and the tv does not have good reception despite the fact that it has cable. But all rooms are equipped with a coffee maker, a hair dryer, a mini-frig,and an ironing board, for those who need it. An added benefit is the FREE WI-FI.
