Room type guarantee useless.

We recently stayed at this property and were guaranteed a non- smoking suite. Upon check in we were given a regular smoking room, due to "overbooking". The room smelled disgusting, and when we returned form this hotel, the clothes in our bags, which we didn't even wear stunk like smoke. We have stayed in smoking rooms before out of nesscity, and they were nothing like this. If there is an upside, the breakfeast was good.

Hotel rebuild October 2006

A tornado destroyed the hotel and they reopened in October of 06. I have stayed there and it's what you would expect from a brand new hotel. Super clean, great staff, nice pool and hot tub. I forgot a few items and they offered to bring them to my room. It's a great place to stay now. Be sure to look at the dates on the other reviews. I understand it wasn't the greatest before :) OH..internet connection was super fast and the breakfast in the morning was really good as well :)

lifesavers

These wonderful people were our salvation after we came to Springfield after hurricane Katrina took everything. The manager and employees went out of their way to make us comfortable and accomodate our needs.

Customer Service needs work!

Upon check in the guest agent was not too interested in telling me about the amenities in the hotel. Therefore, I had to keep calling the front desk to ask questions about local/long distance calls. When I called her back again to ask about the cost of the wireless internet connection she just said that it was free. Which led to a third call to ask for the password to access the service. All of this information should have been explained to me at check in time. I guess she figured I had the time to read through the Guest Service manual, which I eventually did. Coffee maker was dusty and had many coffee stains. Room was a non-smoking room, but it smelled of smoke. Frebreeze works wonderful people.

Oh the noise

The location and value was good, the staff were very nice. the breakfast area is small and tight. House keeping needs a little more attention to the room, ie: the toilet. The the biggest problem was noisey guest! The sound proofing is terrible & the doors make loud metal on metal noise when closing. Kids ran up and down the hall (come on gaurdians) If your looking for a good nights rest better move on if your looking for a little extra sleeping time move on. Wake up time for both nites stay whether you like it or not was 6:30-7:00am
