Great Hotel for your money!!!!
My Wife and I stayed at this hotel for 9 glorious days.
We did have a slight hiccup when we arrived. They gave us a room with 2 single beds for a Mr & Mrs (Same NAME) and later changed our room to a double bed.
The rooms were always clean. The staff came in everyday to make the bed with clean sheets. They provided clean towels and always cleaned and tidied the rooms. The rooms were not too small nor too big, but very adequate for our accomodation.
We left the airconditioner on every day to keep the room cool, as the climate was quite warm and humid.
The staff were always friendly and were there to help with any questions. Like put the hotel key in the slot to actavate the lights entering your room! (Silly Me!)
When we caught taxi's, we would direct the driver to the basement car entrance of the hotel on top of the hill as they have a turntable to turn the taxi around. Can be used for you driving friends and relatives dropping you or picking you up as well. It was also so conveniently right in front of the lifts as well to carry up our shopping.
We never had breakfast at the hotel because it easier to go to Pacific Coffee where they had free internet access as long as you bought something from them, like a croissant and coffee. They were also conveniently located nearby on Nathan Rd on the outside corner of the Mirramar Shopping Centre. We never used the hotels internet so I can't comment on that.
The Hill to the hotel was made much easier by going through the Mirramar Shopping Centre. Go through the main entrance off Nathan Rd, go up the escalator to the next level and work yourself to the rear right of the shopping centre. When you see Starbucks, look to the left and you will see a set double doors. Go through them and turn left to go up a dozen steps and that will take you to Knutsford Terrace. From there you walk past quite a few boutique restaurants to the Hotel basement carpark and up the lifts to your room.
We dined at a couple of those restaurants and they were absolutely fantastic! Give them a try when you are there.
Hong Kong is the place for shopping, and it did not take long to have so much that it was going to become a problem in getting all our lovely trinkets, clothing, souvenirs etc etc home. The Hotel can send it home for you for a fee of $80HKD and the cost of the box and postage to anywhere in the world. Which I thought was a great idea, cause I did not want to waste time to take it to the post office to pack and send. Instead of wasting that time, I would be enjoying Hong Kong!
The Hotel also has a set of scales to take up to your room to weigh your luggage to prevent excess bagage fees at the airport. Now that is great idea!!
Hotel is in a very quite location, which is perfect for a quite nights sleep. I also made sure not to get the rooms beside the elevators to avoid any noise for a comfortable nights sleep.
The beds are a little hard, but after a long day of shopping and all the walking around, made these beds so comfortable.
Close to all the shopping, restaurants, busses, MTR, Star Ferry.
We used the Hotel's airport shuttle bus to Kowloon Airport Express Rail Station.(NOTE! Not to the AIRPORT!) Which is a free service for the Hotel's Patrons.
All up! Great value hotel for your money! We gave them a nice tip when we left for such a great service.
I will be going back to this Hotel again for sure!
