Days Inn Seatac Airport, Seattle

Very noisey - could hear other guests- wakened by others checking in late at night. Beds not very comfortable, very flat pillows. Convenient to airport and shuttle was good. Employees were very polite and courteous, but overall, the stay was not enjoyable.

Easy access, Jes and Jose went out of their way to be helpful . Very professional but warm. Rooms could be cleaner. Could use some maintainancem

Came back to room on the second night and it reeked of cigarette smoke (was a non-smoking room). Manager and desk staff said other guests were caught smoking in the hallway. No accommodations were made or offered.We were basically told there was nothing they could do. Not staying here again!!!

To make a long story short - we asked for a crib. The front desk lady (who was nice) has the other employee (a guy) bring one up. He did, didn't leave right away, hesitate and then left. We went to dinner. Came back and realized, he didn't bring any blankets for the crib (humm). We called down and asked for two blankets. She said no problem. Sent the same guy (only other person working) up. He came with one blanket. Then, he boldly asked for a tip. He said, "Can I have a tip?" I was dumbfounded for a moment and had to realize what was going one. I asked him if he as serious. He said he was. I then told him we were are two other Days Inn in Seattle & the Olympic Peninsula (good experience) and were never asked for tips (the hotels were better overall as well). He said every hotel is different. Then asked for a tip again. I asked him if he was kidding and he said no and asked again for a tip. I told him I don't have any cash right now (not that I was going to tip him anyway) and here's the kicker - he said he'll come back later for the tip...WTF? I didn't mention yet our first room that smelled like bug spray and was about 90 degrees. I also haven't yet detailed the super thin walls or how the chair I'm in has the arm rest falling out and the crib itself has screws loose in it! Last, there's no manager here. We have a late check in so we're currently stuck here...but tomorrow, I'll be talking the assistant manager before I check out and then talking to the manager on Monday from a different hotel.

I was charged $80.00, plus tax for this room. It looked like a room that would rent by the hour instead of the day. The bed is so low, it was like sleeping on a mattress placed on the floor. We hesitated using the bed. The comforter was filthy and the pillows were as cheap as you can find. The furniture in the room was old, cheap, and beat-up. The sink did not drain easily and the faucet was difficult to use - all on or off. The hallway carpet was very dirty with large wrinkles to trip on. I would not return to this fleebag hotel, even if the price was $29.00 per night. It is very convienient to the airport but is not the way to end a great vacation!

The staff was really helpful and they offered a great service including a good breakfast, free airport shuttle, fast wireless internet and a quiet room. I will always stay here when I am in the area.

I liked the location: close to the airport and on Highway 99. Also, the express bus to downtown is very near the hotel. The hotel is simple and has basic decor, but it is neat and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the in-room tv features a large assortment of channels. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The free continental breakfast was good. The free shuttle to and from the airport was a big help as well. I only disliked the fact that the juice machine was broken one morning, but that was soon repaired. If one is looking for basic, yet comfortable accomodations, this is the place.
