Ramada Inn Morgan Hill, Morgan Hill

I was told I never had a reservation even after I showed a confirmation letter and I was offered a single King bed, because I argued that it was already prepaid. Other hotels in the area were already booked because of the Garlic Festival in Gilroy. They did not give me a choice so I had to accept. The room was a mess, sheets shorted, equipment broken, and the toilet clogged up. I should have declined and took them to small claims, because the nightmare did not end it just got worse. The hotel was like a zoo with kids running up and down the halls, the pool and jacuzzi was like a giant playground, and homeless people using the hotel computer and partaking breakfast. Only a couple employees were helpful (Shai and Daniel), but the rest were rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even as last resort.

Our entire stay at this hotel (should be called a motel) was a complete nightmare. From some of the positive reviews I read below I wonder how it's possible we were at the same place. First off, the manger of the hotel was rude from the first phone call until we checked out. We were forced to pay for a 4 night minimum ($150 per night) even though we booked months ahead simply because there was a sporting event nearby. We reserved & paid for 2 rooms, but didn't stay all four nights. It made us feel especially good to hear the receptionist bragging about how she just sold several unoccupied rooms for $89 each - every single night we were there. The first day the cleaners came they took a full grocery bag full of our food from our room...then later claimed they thought it was trash and returned it that evening. The next day my husbands luggage was riffled through by someone on the hotel staff with a key. After we told the receptionist what had happened she forced us to accuse the housekeeper directly. After the pathetic confrontation (the housekeeper did not speak English) and denial by the housekeeper, the receptionist admitted that the housekeeping staff had all quit recently and they didn't have anyone who could speak Spanish and communicate with the current staff. The next morning we went to use the exercise room and two of the three cardio machines were broken. Sad about no work out I went up for coffee and it was all gone at 10am...the kitchen area was a disaster...all the pre-packaged food that they serve was no where to be found (not that we wanted any....none of us could even muster up an appetite with how filthy the area was). Looking for more coffee I waited at the front desk for 10 minutes to find someone to help. I finally called the front desk with my cell phone. After about 40 rings the manager emerged and handed me an empty coffee carafe...which he then had to fill up since he never checked to see if there was actually something in it. No apologies, just an attitude since I was clearly putting him out. There is no way that I will ever pay $150 x 4 nights to stay at this place again. I would rather drive to San Jose and 25 miles than feel so taken advantage of. I did lodge a formal complaint with Choice Hotels, but this hotel is owned as a franchise and clearly the owners are not concerned about customer satisfaction or the fact that they have a complete numskull as the general manager. The only positive about this hotel is the size of the rooms. The microtel next door has small rooms, but more reasonable rates. The Ramada has an excellent breakfast and more reasonable rates, but all of these hotels on Condit Road strong arm folks with a minimum stay because they know people don't have a wide choice in the area. I think it's a shame because the town is cute and there are some nice wineries and a brewery nearby. Too bad there are so few choices. We could not have possibly been more disappointed. It's been 5 months since we stayed there an I am still upset about it. Think twice before you shell out the money.

This hotel is filthy. The staff rude and ineffectual. The suite above us was allowed to party all night long w/ no consequence. I would not allow my children to go barefoot on the carpet or use the filthy, stained jacuzzi tub for a bath. They allowed for half their pool area to be roped off for a private party, leaving one small corner (in the middle of summer on a saturday) for the rest of their paying guests to use. I could not believe the way this hotel was run.....you may expect this in some backwards town,,,,but Morgan Hill? I was shocked. We checked out the next day and found a much nicer hotel down the street. Do not stay here if you can avoid it!!!

We had the misfortune of staying at this Ramada overnight, the toliet paper in the bathroom looked like the end of it had been soaked in blood. Housekeeping should have noticed this and never left it on the roller. In the morning our toliet backed up and was unusable for approx. 20 min. and we found out there were several other rooms experiencing this problem. The price we paid to stay here was too much considering what we got for our money, we would have been better off staying at motel 6 or super 8, at least our expectations wouldn't have been disappointed. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I am a corporate manager for a global company in morgan hill, this hotel was able to offer me rates that were 15-20% less than what we pay currently. The bouns is the helpful staff, oversized rooms & tubs, and free breakfast for our clients and employees.

Huge Clean Rooms, Extra Helpful Staff, and close to Dining, Winerys, Golf, and Shopping. Ask for Tracey or Brandon they very helpful are the best people ever!!

I planned a surprise "second honeymoon" with my husband-even went and looked at 3 of their best rooms. I picked one of them, reserved it and was assurred it would be ready for me. When we arrived, I was told the room had water damage and was sent to a less than adequate room for my special day! The next morning I saw a woman in her night gown showing a young child out the door of the room I had reserved originally! When I brought this up with the Regional Manager, she insisted there was water damage-even when I told her I saw the occupants. Then she said they were told to stay in the bedrooms! Whatever. The breakfast was nice, the employees helpful (all but the regional mgr.), the night was a huge disappointment for my "surprise second honeymoon"!

Our daughter's softball team was coming into Morgan Hill for a tournament for the weekend. I was incharge of booking hotel rooms for the entire team. I called around to other hotels without much luck. This hotel was willing to give us a group booking discount. When we arrived at the hotel, I was extremely happy. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice with a huge bathtub. The kids loved playing in the pool. They put on a huge spread for breakfast. A complete hot buffet that was amazing. If I am ever in Morgan Hill again, I would stay at this hotel and I know that all the other players and their families were just as happy with the hotel as we were.

Thank you so much for a great hotel experience. We had a bad experience at a hotel a couple doors down from your hotel. You took my family in, was very courteous, had excellent service, GREAT customer service. The gal at the front desk was very sweet, along with the manager on duty Saturday morning. Thanks for everything. We will come back to your facility again. Promise.
