Montien Hotel Riverside, Bang Khlo

It is a far away hotel from the market and shopping malls. Also, the hotel shows a money-attitude service for every single activity. This is the only hotel in thailand charging for saunna, steam, room locker. Inernet rates are higher than 5-star hotels in bangkok. Breakfast is normal but not that wide range of selection. Generally, i don't recommend this hotel.

Me And my wife for part of our honeymoon stayed in this hotel. At first look it seems very nice. very big and beautiful lobby and staff are very friendly and helpful. but it's too far away from shopping malls and other bangkok attractions. average taxi fee from hotel to the city center is 80 batts +tip. not bad but in Thailand taxi drivers in many occasions turn off the taximeter and sometimes you have to pay up to 500 batts to go back to hotel. around the hotel is absolutely nothing and hotel vicinity is boring enough. rooms are look old too. windows are dirty and tarnished and there is no balcony. you have to pay extra money for almost everything. Restraunt staff are very unpoliet too plus an ordinary breakfast for a 5 star hotel. overall If I go back to Bangkok someday I won't go to that hotel instead I'll choose either Grand Hyatt of even the 4 stars Best Western hotel

When we stayed here it was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful, from arranging river boats, cabs, suggesting places to visit and how to get there. At night I loved the view from our room of the city and river. Loved eating that night at the resturant, atomsphere on the patio was relaxing and comfortable with the lamps and live music.
