Great Honeymoon

The staff was very friendly and always helpful. I liked the location the best because it was right on the beach and there was so much to do. Just hop on the local bus and you were in Puerta Vallarta. The only thing less attractive to us was that the excurisions were more expensive and offered less then what you could get from the local vendors.. but hey they are there to make a profit right!!

Yuck!

I don't know how this resort got 4 stars!! The staff was friendly but, other than that our experience was not good- The rooms were not clean and the food was questionable at best. This hotel is out of date and just tired. If you go here expecting a 4 star experience you will definitly be dissappointed.

Never Again!

The first thing we experienced as we entered the hotel was a much too eager Maria who wanted us to see her timeshare at the hotel the next morning. Even though we had bought the trip for three adults and requested two rooms, we only had one room with a very uncomfortable cot. The evening entertainment was nothing special and since the stage is located right under the rooms it was very noisy. We had to call every night at 1 am to request the music be turned down. The food at the restaurants was very good; however, the buffet was average. The best thing was the service, everyone was very pleasant. Overall the hotel is run-down and in need of renovation, none of the rooms have a balcony and there are only two small swimming pools. For a little more money, there are much nicer hotels available. Don't be fooled by the 4 star rating!

Only if you buy a \"time share\"

There was a lot of activities and free drinks but you won�t get a nice room or get to sit in the jacuzzi unless you buy a "timeshare" deal. The rooms also smelled like mildew.

This was our third visit!

We just returned from seven days in paradise!Everything about this resort is great! The staff is always very welcoming and remembers us each year we return. We even brought pictures and gifts for a few staff members who we became close to last year. The food is excellent and always a great variety. The waiters are very attentive and friendly. (They really deserve the extra tips) The bell boys were helpful with our bags and quick to get us a taxi. They were available for quesions and to recomend day trips. The ocean was wonderful to swim, boogey board and to walk each evening. We felt safe at all times and even walked late at night on the beach. The pool was great, and it was very relaxing. This is a great place to relax and unwind. The bar was not to noisy, and was very friendly also. I can't say enough good things about this resort! We will go back again.

AWESOME!!!

I was so inpressed that my friend and I bought a time share so we can meet there at least once a year as we live 3000km apart, The people were so friendly and helpfull. After the first trip to the ocean side bar the bartenders knew what we were drinking and continued to remember from day to day. The restauraunt was to die for, the variety of foods was impressive. My friend has some food allergies and even she was able to enjoy her meals without having to worry. They let you know what was in something if you were not familliar with it. The evening shows done by thier happy staff were fantastic and entertaining. We never lacked for anything at all. The weather was beautiful, the sunsets and ocean were breathtaking. I would advise this hotel for anyone who wants to relax and not be bothered by loud parting going on into the wee hours of the morning. The disco was open but not intrusive to the hotel rooms. All around a great place to spend your vacation time. If you go, go all inclusive it is the best way by far. I also found the beads and pillows very comfortable but I could sleep on the sand and not be bothered.

We go there every year!

We go there evey year and the service is always great! You could have a perfectly enjoyable vacation and never leave the resort or spend any extra money if you felt like it. The staff remember you from day to day (and year to year) and remember what your favorite beverage is without asking. They even know about what time you will be there for meals and save your favorite table if they know you have one. The food varies from day to day, but you can always find something you like even if you are picky. My teens like the beach grill better than the buffet for lunch usually. There you can always get pizza, burgers and snacks. The bartenders will make the dirnks however you ask and there is plenty of variety. People complaining of weak drinks are either alcoholics or don't know how to ask nicely. :-) The activites are plentiful and my teenage boys never get bored. They enjoy the beach and pool volleyball and boogie boards in the ocean the most. I can realx on my favorite part of the beach with a good book all day and never have to worry about them. Overall, this is an awesome hotel for adults and families. The night life is not what the young singles party crowd will be looking for, but it is excellent if you want to keep children and teens away from that atmosphere. You can always get a taxi downtown for 100 pesos if you want a night out. The best way to get a cheap taxi is to pretend you are heading for the bus when they offer a ride. Every price is negotiable! Remember to rufuse the first price quote and keep going. They will make another offer. The beds are hard as others have written, but the place to sleep is on the beach anyway! Looking forward to this year's trip already.

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT MY TRIP..TH EHOTEL WAS AWESOME..THE FOOD WAS GREAT, THE SERVICE THE VIEW THE BAR ESPECIALLY!!! I HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!!!

EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY!!!

The only bad thing I found with this hotel were the beds. They were hard, but who cares, you are not there to sleep all day, right! Excellent service since we got there. We were only approached once by vendors who after we said no, didn't bother us again. The rooms were very well conditioned and very clean. The food was the "BEST", lots of variety every day. The people were very friendly from the bartenders to the waiters. We had the best time ever. Didn't care too much to go site seeing as we have children and they enjoyed being in the pool all day. The drinks were awesome. We would go back anytime.
