Aqua Terrace Motel, Ormond Beach

I booked this hotel on line because of the value rate and being right on the water. I have to say when we checked in, it was the worst experience we ever had. The room provided to us was just terrible - it was not clean, the water ran continuously in the bath tub and there was no shower head. Not to mention the door handle came off when we went to look out on the balcony and there was about an inch and a half gap under the door - so any critters could crawl in freely. I have to say the staff was very friendly and offered a different room, however as we all know - first impression is everything - so we left to find accomodations elsewhere. Btw - the pictures provided online are not even close to what we experienced in person, they must be very old.

This is an older motel. I have read the negitive reviews and find most of them way off base. I have never seen a roach, I have never had a problem with the AC, I have never seen mold, I have never seen stains on the bedding or cracks you can see thur. People that have said these things must expect a $200 a night room for $50. This is the best deal on the beach. I'm booking for 2 nights this week.

I STAYED HERE AND WORKED FOR THE PARENT COMPANY AND COULD NOT GET MY PAY...BED BUGS ARE VERY BAD...THEIR HOTELS ARE BELOW PAR AND THE ISLANDER IS ALSO VERY BAD WHERE I WORKED...NASTY HOTELS..CHECK OUT ANY HOTEL OWNED BY OCEAN WAVES COMPANY,,THEY HAVE 27 HOTELS ON THE BEACH..THEY RELLY SUCK

This hotel was the best place for spring breakers because they had a really friendly staff! Trudi (the housekeeper) was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. Will was very creepy and stared through our window and tried offering us drinks with drugs in them. We dont recommend associating with him. We also do not recommend the elderly people were loud and slamming doors. Drunks run around naked and it was awesome! We hope you enjoy your stay because we definitely loved it! Oh and, it is not walking distance of Daytona Beach.. dont let them fool you. ;)

We stayed there June 2008. The location was great and the staff was good and friendly. They really tried to please you. The motel could use an overhaul. The rooms need to be painted, new carpet, mattresses, etc. I know it is on the beach but I have stayed at other motels that are much cleaner. Even if they had to charge a little more in daily room charge, it would be worth it.
