Point Village Resort, Negril

Point Village was once a resort, but its old building now a simple upstep from a low income project. The apartments have old pipes that crank, pest about the place, and the kitchen/ appliances are outdated. There are some persons still trying to market the place to tourist instead of just selling the condos for $30,000US.

The rooms we spacious. We loved the food and the nightly entertainment.

What we liked ... nothing loll My boyfriend and I booked our reservation by looking at the pictures that we saw on the internet. What a surprise we got when we arrived there! The fridge in the room didn't work to begin with ... The beer was flat and served in a used orange juice jug ... while eating hamburgers we saw some kind of crawly bugs in our salt and pepper shaker ... at around 7 pm each night ... the place was dead ... no one to be seen ... they were all gone to bed I suppose ... the grounds were hardly lit ... very dark and quite scary ... we met an older couple over there, like us from Montreal, they were also Very dissappointed ... not at all worth the $ ... the place should be used as an old age home loll Nothing much going on over there ... looks like a place thats about to go bankrupt! We arrived on a Friday afternoon and by the next day I told my boyfriend that I wanted to go back home ... we left there 2 days after on Sunday to find another place to stay ... We went to the hotel next door ... they were nice enough to take us in ... Hedonisme 2 ... A Super Place! ... we never had soooo Much fun !! ... Yes there was quite a lot of nude people over there ... we even hesitaded before decided to move there ... but boy ... we never regretted our decision ... we even intend to go back as soon as we get the chance ... the place, food, people, activities etc etc ... everything was Perfect! We finally were able to get a refund for the days that we didn't stay at Point Village ... wasn't easy though ... but with my stubborness ... we were able to get our money back. I don't recommend this place to anyone ... even to seniors loll ... we lost 2 days and a half of our precious vacation time ... this was our very first trip to the south ... what a nightmare Point Village made us go through ... Big Waste of Time, Energy and Money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!! GO ELSEWHERE !!!!!!!!!!!!

i liked the friendly staff although the wedding co-ordinater had the hots for my husband to be haha. the rooms was lovely and food and everyone was friendly just wish the wedding co ordinater had took the man i was going to marry didnt want him anyway lol she was so lovely too my children age 9/11/16 was a little bored but we spent more time alone as their so called father took it as a singles holiday id love to visit again with my real man as you can tell we divorced 2 months after but have to say anyone can fool themselves its right to marry in a gorgous place with everyone smilling and making your day thankyou point village for making me wedding day great shame the husband was a liar and kerry you was welcome to him told you that when i was there with him (paul) remember but your worth more than him xxxxx

I have visited PV 7 times. I love it there! I love the regular faces there, Rayon, Kirk,Raj my friend from the gift shop. Last time i was there i was sad to see that the management has really been lacking. I think this is a little piece of paridise! after going to Cabo san Lucas Mexico last week and being bothered non stop from the moment i left my room, and while i was trying to relax , or at dinner...it really gave me a renewed love for my sleepy little PV resort..I lay on my beach all day and people are not surrounding me by the dozen's to buy time shares,silver,sombrerors, crap crap and more crap..Im glad that PV is not for everybody..that's a good thing! I'll take Jamaica over Mexico any day! one major downfall for PV is too many cats!!!!they cry all night!!!!!

Loved the overall resort- beautiful gardens, fantastically clean beach, unbelievable snorkling, great pool. Food was good overall. All types of drinks were included with great pinacolades! Rooms were a little rundown; for example our fridge & stove did not work, but then who wanted to cook! Rooms were clean. Staff were very friendly. Service for things like towels and other room needs were a little slow. I would go back in a heart beat, just for the beautiful beach and snorkeling.

i had never visited negril b4 but didnt want to leave fab place however basic if u want 5 star dont pay 3 star prices we were made to feel welcome the food lovely my daughter never eats on holiday but she never stopped here was a bit quiet for her but for me n hubby it was great the only downside we found was the close proximity to hedoism but it is feced off and private we hopecully returning next year and cant wait to c you guys kirk demar rayon miss rose love u all

This was my first all inclusive vacation only paid $800 for two people leaving Baltimore MD. Staff was very fun, did not spend much time in the room, me and boyfriend enjoyed the nightly and daily activities. We went back 3 years later with 5 friends. We were hassled a little more about buying weed but most likely because we were a big group. Make sure you go out on rock beds at night. The stars are endless, been to alot of places never seen a sky like that.

Arrived after a long drive.....Very dissappointed at the condition of the rooms,not updated,run down. Lights kept going out everytime it rained so their was no power the times I was in my room. Food upset my stomach the entire week while I was at resort. All inclusive only includes red stripe beer and certain minimal drinks. This was my honeymoon AND IT WAS THE WORST EVER!!!!! I visited july 19,1998

Property in disrepair. very rude staff at front desk! Beautiful grounds I must admit. Gorgeous view! Bar not so great, food not so great, rooms very dilapidated but well cleaned by housekeepers. All around, pretty disappointing.
