Get what you pay for
The central location is convenient for me as a business traveler between SFO, Walnut Creek and Palo Alto. The McService is everything you'd expect and less. Upon seeing the room number I immediately asked if there was another, before any of the other paperwork was done and the primate he, I mean, desk clerk, barked back "there aren't any more rooms". Another more reasonable guy said, "yes there is" and gave us a better room.
About the room itself, they call it an executive suite but there's no other word for it than a one bedroom apartment. It's not bad, in fact it's quite large, but a suite! What do you expect for $100/night? If you get a room in the center, be prepaired to walk the length of a football field just to get to the stairs, then another field to get to your car if you're on the lagoon side, I don't mind but my wife doesn't like walking.
Oh, and the highlight is when she asked what there is to do around here, I mean our knowledge of the area is limited to knowing there's a bay within a stone's throw, he said "there's a sushi restaurant across the street". Wish I'd known, woulda brount my harpoon and snorkle gear get me some yellowtail.
