run away fast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/10
My husband and I travel often to Ashland Kentucky, and I have to warn people that the Days Inn is terrible, the last time we stayed there was Thanksgiving weekend,I woke up with a nasty itchy rash,I went to the Doctor,s and to my surprise, BEDBUG BITES,I called the hotel, to warn them so that they could take care of their problem, but I was told that I had no evidence, evidence I have the bites and I trust my Doctor more than I trust these people, so stay at one of the many other hotels in the area. They don,t bite.

Avoid this one
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/09
This room cost about 80 dollars when you can get a much nicer one at one of this towns hotels for about the same price. The floors dirty, the place smells like smoke, and I even found a used shampoo bottle on a ledge above showerin my room. This is a trucker hotel, nothing more.

The place was awful.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/08
The bed was hard to sleep in, the housekeepers did not do what they was suppose to do, one guy at the front desk was rude, and there was never anyone at the front desk all of the time.

NOT in Ashland
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/5/08
This hotel is five miles from the Ashland city limits. There is no elevator and the front desk refused to give us a room on the ground floor, even though we are disabled. And I saw plenty of empty rooms on the ground floor available. The power went out both days we were there and stayed off for hours. And while that may or may not be the hotels fault, they did not reset the vending machines, so there was nothing to drink while we were there. When I asked the front desk, he told me the closest place to buy a soft drink or bottled water was a quarter a mile away, and didn't offer any alternatives. They said they would give us a wake up call and never did. The pool was full of unmonitored, obnoxious children, all day. The hotel was extremely stingy with their towels and cups. We had to hang on to the one tiny cup a piece the two days we were there. And while the hotel allows pets, there is no place for them to be walked. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has a pet or has trouble getting up and down stairs or anyone who doesn't want to drink the local water when they travel. I would recommend this hotel for parents who like to let their children roam around alone, make noise and distrub other people.

Never again.
By BBBWthatuneed, 1/27/08
For the price of this room you can stay at one of the new hotels just down the street. They have breakfast in the morning that consists of cereal in a basket and you have to dip it out with a spoon. Nasty! The floors of the rooms are filthy, the bathtub was not clean. I went to the local store and purchased cleaning products. This is my second stay here. The first time I thought it was the management, but this time they informed me that it was under NEW management. The front desk staff is very helpful, clearly they aren't the ones cleaning the rooms! Only stay here if you want a smoking room. The whole hotel smells like cigarettes. Across the street there is another hotel and it is beautiful. It costs about the same also.

A problem stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/06
We had multiple problems during our stay, but I must first stay that the front desk staff was WONDERFUL, they did whatever they could do help with the problems. That saidÂ…first I book and specifically asked for a ground floor room (they have no elevator) since I have a great deal of difficulty with stairs due to a disability. Well, we got a second floor room and it was not able to be changed. In addition, the first day we were there the room was not cleaned by housekeeping. When we called downstairs, we were told the housekeeping department had left for the day. The front desk was very kind and brought up towels at least. The next day the room was cleaned (sort of), though one wastebasket was never emptied and the bathroom supplies were not re-stocked. Also, I was never able to get access to their WIFI while I was there. And this is the number one rated hotel in Ashland???
