SPECTACULAR LOCATION--TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
While traveling in eastern Washington with friends from Norway, we made reservations for two suites for two nights the weekend of September 10 & 11, 2010. Our friends stayed in room 210 which turned out to be directly over the hotel laundry, which (believe it or not) runs all night long! Not just the constant thrummm of dryers, but the on-and-off of water and machinery for the washers as well. Our friends got no sleep at all! We went to the front desk in the morning and asked if they could be moved to another room, but the manager on duty said there was nothing she could do. She expressed no sympathy or concern about their difficult night, nor did she make any effort to resolve the problem. She simply said that the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing she could do. We asked if they could move into a room vacated that day and give room 210 to newly arriving guests. The answer was simply “no.” We cancelled our reservations for a second night and moved on. It is now more than two weeks later. We have called the hotel’s general manager many times and he is never available. He does he respond to messages requesting a call back. This is a lovely property in a spectacular location, but we will not stay there again and we will recommend that our friends stay away as well. The people running this property do not know what the words “customer service” mean.

Definitely worth a visit
By NCTraveler, 8/18/08
We absolutely loved this place and would return in a heartbeat! The location in the Lake Chelan area is ideal. Easy to get in and out. In this day of SUVs, trucks and larger cars for traveling families, though, there were too many parking spaces designated for compact cars and material piled in the lot ate up more of the larger parking spaces available. But, once the car was parked, the place was fabulous. Our room had a huge bedroom, a center kitchenette and bathroom area and a huge, comfortable living room with a balcony overlooking the park and lake. The bed was extremely comfortable and, after long days of sightseeing and driving, we got great rest to prepare for the next day's adventures. The continental breakfast was fabulous - best of any place we've ever stayed. The woman who worked the breakfast area never stopped moving - refilling, clearning and preparing wonderful cheese omelets served with salsa. She was meticulous. The breakfast room itself was bright, cheery and was decorated to feel like a cabin. Comfortable, upholstered chairs with a mountain cabin theme. Plenty of room to walk around and seating for many, including an outside balcony with tables that wrapped around 2 sides and overlooked the lake and mountains. A great way to start each day. Wonderful indoor pool for kids to enjoy. Very good base to explore the region, reasonable half way point in the Cascade Loop drive. Great value and experience.

I felt like a KING!!!
By Rita, 4/26/08
My family and I had the best vacation ever!! It was our first time in Lake Chelan and it was great. The rooms are remarkable, very clean and confortable. The breakfast was fabulous my kids loved the waffles and the indoor pool. The customer service was fantastic, the was a gentleman at the front desk named Julian that goes above and beyond the call of duty!

Value For Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/07
This hotel is located at an excellent site. Its location by the lake offers a spectacular view of the lake and the surrounding. The price is very decent. The continental breakfast is also rather decent (if you're not too picky). The onsite grills (grill it yourself) offers another option of not spending too much in eating out. The only problem I find is that this hotel needs some serious upgrading. The walls are faded and have holes in them too. The toiler handle was about to fall off in our room! Overall, not a bad place spending time with the family. Would definitely visit again.

Very good hotel, average breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/04
The rooms were very comfortable and the views were awesome. The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, with muffins, bagels and frozen waffles, in addiion to cereal.
