Super 8 Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh

I understood when we booked a hotel room for $60, there were going to be things wrong. The place was really gross. I didn't even want to sit on the bed. The air conditioner didn't work too well. The room was set up wierd with the sink in a different room from the toilet. The "continental breakfast" was weak. I didn't even take anything. I expected things such as that. The reason Super 8 gets such a low score is because they don't know their own policies. I have a dog and one the reasons we went with super 8 was because they accepted dogs. I called and spoke with the front desk before we booked the room. I confirmed that there was no breed or size restrictions and that there was only a $10 fee. They assured me this was the case. We were almost to the hotel when I got a phone call from my brother who was checking in, and whose credit card had paid for the room. There was $150 deposit (not once was that mentioned but he had to sign a waiver saying that my dog was not one of three restricted breeds, which of course he was. It was too late to find another room. We had to sneak him in and out, we couldn't let him go out in the daytime. It was an awful experience. If they had told us from the start, when I called, this would never had been a problem. I will definitely not be back here.
